I see this and think of the experimentals in the original supcom... the original Galactic Colossus was slow, and had no AA defense, but it had to be undefended to be destroyed. A super-ship is a cool idea in concept, but i think the game's current units should be balanced before anymore are added, especially one that has the potential to (completely) break the game. Edit: Looks like UE stole my idea...

When you complain about spam, it is a vague complaint, because in my experience, most games of Multiplayer Sins from the day it came out had spam. Redirect your complaint specifically to Illuminators. At one time or another I've had attackers spam me with Scouts, Disciples

What astrath said. Sins is a great game and it deserves a great campaign and not a tacked on experience. IC didn't have the time/resources/whatever to do it right, so they didn't do it at all, good choice in my opinion

Looks pretty good, but 2 gtx 275s will beat a 295 also, maybe even the Xfire configuration, but i can't find any benchamarks of this. A player can go around the turrets, or kill them with bombers or anti module cruisers. An AI will head straight towards them cause it likes pain. Turrets are not complete crap, but remember that they are confined to the well they were built in, turrets are a passive defense, a fleet is an active defense.

All bow to N3rull, you get it. Having an MP component is like taking the game through a stress test, any weak point WILL be discovered. Sins2 i fear will largely repeat the sins of sins1, sequels have been rather disappointing lately (Monkey Island, anybody?) but what would be arguably worse is a completely new game... a Sins of a solar Empire/supcom2 hybrid. (Yes, i know supcom 2 is not out yet, it is still a different game) They should focus on fixing the combat, adding a race is not a priority with the three we have being so horribly balanced. They should add ships one at a time, making sure that every ship perform

There is a strategy as TEC that can cripple an enemy's economy very early in the game on a smaller map (3-5 jumps from your homeworld to the enemy's). Instead of a marza, get a sova carrier as your first capital ship and give it the ability embargo, jump the ship to your enemy's Homeworld and use embargo to steal their tax income. It will give you enough credits to buy some resources or ships and keep (one) of your enemy's down for a little while. It is important to note howev

Bombers or ogrovs shouls work, but beware that if the advent starbase has meteor control things might get messy... have some cielos and hohos near your anti structure ships to help. Normally, i would say just go around them, but on such a small map and with a base at every planet you are going to have to kill them eventually. If you have a lot of resources, up fleet supply and use the TEC economy to outproduce your opponent, MB and GRG are your friends...
