Actually, I'll leave on this note. Take a look at the seekers stats. They're scary.
Seekers have the same stats as disciples, just a lower base DPS. Advent scouts (if i'm not mistaken, which i may be) kill all other scouts.
I'm still lost as to where people took the scout tactic and interpreted it as a rush. I'm not saying I've never used them offensively, be
shields are just layers of cold and hot plasma. Mitigation is adjusting the temperature/magnetic field strength/harmonics to increase its ability to absorb damage.
The only problem with this is mitigation affects the armor of the ship too and in the manual it says that computers are brought online to manage mitigation. I think the devs took some creative liberities with science here and just made mitigation
Early pirate raids can be defeated with one cap ship and a repair bay or two. When the raids get larger, hangars, some turrets, and repair bays will do it. Pirates are a great source of EXP for cap ships, let your opponent spend their money on bounty while it makes your caps stronger. It gives you both an economic and military advantage. Hope that helps and good luck [e digicons][/e]
If I'm rushing, i always scuttle my cap facotry just for the extra resources; it only amounts to about one ship, but if a battle is close it can help. I think the best rush is vasari against advent, if the map is small enough that the vasari can get there before illums come out then the Egg and asssailants (with a few skirmishers for backup) will easily beat disciples and seekers. Has anyone actually pulled off an Antorak rush with subversion? In theory it is similar to t
Rushing has become increasingly popular (at least it seems to me) since entrenchment came out. It is a race to keep the player down before starbases come up and the lines are drawn. One of the hardest to counter is the vasari starbase rush, properly executed it will leave you with little choice but to waste your early game fleet in futlie attacks against it. The TEC Sova rush works on smaller maps, but it has been awhile since i have seen this used for more than an annoyance.<
well, it's perverted IMO because it gives the impression that the female Vasari agent slept with the male Human. And that is DISGUSTING to think about.
that's SOOOO perverted.
It was kind of meant as a parody to the feminist thread, and i was tired while playing sins last night; i started giving voices to the ships and making up stories for them.... somebody help me...

It would still carry a charge, but a even a toothpick can hit with the force of a nuke if it is going fast enough... The missle body is too large for

The Advent need a strong late game fleet though, they start out with a pathetic lf and it takes a little while to get illums. The mothership helps, but until an advent player gets sufficient illums or carriers, they can be pretty much ignored. If they were weak both early game and late game there would be no reason to play them. I think the Vasari need some luvin though, their biggest threat to the Advent (subverter) was nerfed to hell and back...
If illums are the core reason for playing advent then that alone shows how serious this needs to get rebalanced. People play vasari because you need someone to keep the nutrals and i rareley see any real skilled people playing TEC. The TEC are good, and i used to play them exclusively, but KoK has started three different threads about how dominant the TEC are without seeming to understand their greatest strenghts. It's the eco, not the ships that make a TEC player dangerous.
