There have been quite a lot of changes to Capital Ship abilities in 1.1, and the game has bett
Trying to describe it would take pages upon pages.
It is about 20 pages.
For instance, what abilities should be micromanaged? Are some of much greater worth against some enemies than others? What are some suggested combos?
And doesn't include some of these. HydroAC, I can point you to a few posts that might help.
for tec many assume you HAVE to have a marza (why?)).
Yeah. Simply: TEC: Marza Dreadnought (Rad Bomb, Inc Shells, Raze Planet, Missile Barrage @6) Advent: Progenitor Mothership (Colonize+ 2x+?, Sheild Regen, Malice) Vasari: Jarrasul Evacuator ['Egg'] (Colonize, Nano-'bomb' 3x, Grav 'bomb', Drain
Currently my fleet is composed of about 18 skirmishers, 30 Assailants, 2 evacuators, a Devastator, a Desolator and that other capital ship that can distort gravity for faster movement. I also have a secondary fleet with 10 overseers and 10 subverters
I would suggest teching to RA (Returning Armada, both levels). You've got lots of spare money. And you've already got the phase gates! (So just 3 more labs). RA will give you ships/fleet at 60% of the
King of Kings is still around? I haven't seen him around for months
Whip, I played [_] King of Kings a couple of times during the 1.096 Beta (November?), in 1v1's on Close Encounters. I won both times. He was very respectful, although I think a little shocked that his favored Sova & Kodiak rush didn't work. He said he had rarely lost on that map. I was very impressed by his abilities and demeanor. I would guess tha
The 1st terran population and the desert population research for example are very cheap, you could get those early - actually the High Density Zoning could be much smarter than upgrading infra on your HW!...
Oh, this is a new insight for me! I always thot that those tier 1 population techs didn't kick in untill your population was maxed out (after pop infra on your HW was done building out)! I may need to rethink things. Thanks for your insi

InfernalCreator did a good job of answering your questions. Here's a little bit more: Why would I want to return my fighters to the hanger? do they heal there?... [Yes, and you can release bombers after fighters have been decimated] How much does a refinery assist a mine? Do they stack? Should I have more than one at each planet, or how many should I build?... [Dunno. Yes. Yes. Not like

But I'd like to make some specific suggestions. You mentioned:
Modular archi

There is no advantage. I've tested it before (in a LAN game). One costs 1.5 times as much as the other, for 1.5 times more units. If you pit 3 Vasari carriers against 2 Advent carriers, after a long battle, they will both kill each other's carrier, and the remaining squadrons will eventually die off without a host! [PS. InfiniteVoid, thats a good observation.]
i havent seen more then 76 people online for a very long time
Shadow, half of what you say is false! I've seen twice that amount every day for the last week! Carriers aren't OP, nor is missle barrage. 1.1 is well balanced. You just don't like it. And I rarely get minidumps. (Desync, and other problems with a BETA are to be expected).

Just a reminder, and I edited the original post with some links. Multiplayer replays still aren't working right (and often minidump befor completed). Also see here. Please comment, if you can confirm this bug.
where I can find some good replays?
the problem right now is: 1.1 replays don't work correctly! They are bugged/screwed up! So, nobody can upload new ones... and the good old ones, like those 1.096 replays that you'll find, won't run with the new version (just like you can't load old saves)! So what Zubaz linked is all there is, and it won't get better. Until they fix the replay bug.

Few people are currently playing the Entrenchment Beta online (I rarely could even find a game online!). In 1.12 over 150 people were online tonight! I'm curious, how many people are still playing 1.05 online? Jedi Obi 1

Yeah, as long as its not interrupted. To all targets within range. 20, 1.25 second volleys, means 25 secs, where U can't issue (it) a new command. Or can't have it break off to auto-attack something. Or get interrupted by an opponent's ability. Very powerful if used correctly.
Cool nice find! next time you post in this thread.
LOL, Spartan, I can't resist the karma. Here is a link to an unbelievablely indepth analysis of Artifacts (the old 9) and their worth : http://www.soasewiki.com/index.php/Artifacts

12 Replies 53,283 Views

I should also add that: I think artifacts should be more valuable (in other words, do more). As it stands, even with the new artifacts, it doesn't really pay to search for artifacts. In online play, you NEVER seen anyone 'waste' the money on them. They could be an exciting part of the game, that is way underutilized because they are simply not worth it. Even tho they introduce the element of luck, making 1 of the 12 artifacts VERY valuable, would motivate

Now there are 12 artifacts, including 3 new ones (the bottom row)! I found all 12, and here is the first picture of them. I was a little disappointed that the new ones weren't more powerful (similar to most of the others). And it is still questionable whether it is worth spending the money to search for artifacts. The

When you lose the jump drive relic artifact, it shows the outline for the data archive artifact, rather than the missing jump drive relic artifact. See the center of the picture, where artifacts appear to be duplicates. The above was pasted in from MS Excel & Word. It required lots of reformatting (colors & fonts), editing, and it still looks weird. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of the white space (easily), or what 'the trick is' to pasting from other programs? Conclusions that you can draw from the above tables are: Battleships are generally the toughest. TEC generally have the highest effective hull. Advent rely more on sheilds. Vasari fall somew
