Depends on the length of your trade line and also how many empires you currently have trade agreements with. Look at the value for a planets credits before and after you accept trade agreements or add another planets to the trade chain and it increases all of them from what i understand.

i think it depends on the color of star field visible. Not a major issue though. Overall I love this mod and the additional planets give large games some much needed variety. There are so many mods which try to change the game and alter it but this mod is still the only one that improves the game in the areas that are somewhat lacking in the vanilla game. graphics and planet variety. I still cant get over how cool the argonev looks when the streamin

We tweaked it alot to add for my groups taste. Here are somethings we have changed: Pirate raids are tougher, larger and they have shields at elevated, hard and severe lvls. Pirate base is harder to take out tougher frigates, added capital ships and the
[quote who="Annatar11" reply="19" id="2077700"]Alright, here's the download for the Entrenchment version of the mod. In theory, it should also work for Vanilla Sins 1.15 but I have not had the time to test it. Installation of the mod is slightly different. Every patch version now creates its own mod folder. If you have Entrenchment 1.01 (and you should), and you don't see the "Mods-Entrenchment v1.01" folder in the user path, launch the game and go to options > mods > show mo
I'm very confused on the starbase abilities like resupply, mass disorientation, meteor storm, debris vortex, and frontal deflector. All of these have a second upgrade level but it seems that most of them do not actually get an upgrade but just more antimatter. Which abilities actually get a performance increase when researched to the 2nd level? Does resupply 2 actually work better or can i just cast it more with the increased antimatter? I really wish the descr
yeah i love the original music.
c2d e8400 @ 4ghz stable with 3 gig ddr2800 on a dual 9800gtx+ setup (sli disabled for sins though) and mine runs fairly smooth. I start off at 60 fps but that can drop dramatically to 20 on occasion with large battles but overall it's still quite playable for me.
I played a small map and only had a few planets and had few credits coming in so i researched the colony pods for the vasari star base and qued up both my starbases with double colony pods. After they were finished researching/building, the info card for the starbase showed the increased population (100 or so population) however i did not receive any additional income. When i hover the mouse over the credits on the top of the main hud, the planet and credit breakdown did not
I'm absolutely in love with the 80% reduction in max population on planets hit with the novalith. Definately adds the proper polish that an intergalactic nuke cannon should have. I know it's small but the addition is quite nice and opens up some gameplay options.
seems like refinery ships get stuck at their refinery and never move for the rest of the match. Happens to trade ships as well.
different graphics for lasers/beams/plasma/missles that change as you upgrade. Also i'd like to see the empires emblem on ships. Also i'd like to see plagues and biological weapons that can reduce populations allowing you to take over planets and keep the infrastructure purchases from the previous owner. This could involve several research items for offense and defense. Also this could have a penalty on culture if used In addition I would like to see a fleet
Amrsitice doesn't appear to affect some pirate units and rebel units (tec insurgency upgrade). I tried to defend a teammates homeplanet under attack from an extreme pirate raid and armisitice didn't stop the seige units from firing. This also happens with rebels created from the tec insurgency. I can't wait for the day where the trade and refinery ships start moving instead of taking a loooong coffee break for the whole game.
I thought the starfish and the ogrov were anti structure only? Why on earth are they firing at ships now?
I've noticed an odd behavior from the empire tree that I can't seem to solve. I always run with "show fleets" with no other auto pinned items. I don't like alot of empire tree clutter. In 3 different games as TEC, i've noticed that when my scouts die, the system that they are in become pinned and I cannot unpin them to clean up the screen. Over a small 20 planet game I will have all 20 planets on the empire tree and i cannot remove any of them.
disregard. problem solved.
So i just ran the update to beta 2 and when i start the game i get a black screen with no hard drive access or any ability to alt-tab out or go to task manager. It locks. I have to restart and my 1.12 installed on another drive works fine. I went into impulse again and i attempted to uninstall entrenchment and just do a fresh install and i get the following error. There is an error in XML document (28, 8) (sins of a solar empire - entrenchment)
I actually am running a 9800 gtx and a gtx + in sli. I use evga precision to set my clock speed and it sets both cards so i just run at the gtx + speed with no problems.
disable gamma correction for AA for your video card.
I've heard others in this forum mention that the page file should be 2 to 2.5 times the size of the amount of ram you have. I noticed my page file was about 2 gb so i increased it to around 6 gb just to be safe. It helped to a very small degree but it might help. Still though a page file of that size should be fine. On a personal note i'm somewhat curious of this downclocking feature on the 200 series. I assume that it's automatic on all drivers beyon 178.xx rig
There are zero performance boosts with sins on SLI mode. In fact with my SLI setup the galaxy view scrolls waaaay to quickly with SLI on and also I can't force vsync with SLI on and i get horrible tearing. With SLI disabled for sins i can actually run vsync. Even at peark moments the video card temps barely go up in big battles. This game isn't very demanding from a video perspective.
I think from a business perspective that a GOTY repackage would be profitable. If you lets say hypothetically repack entrenchment with sins in 6 months, sales on the additional expansions would increase as well. Not everyone keeps up with industry awards and every bit of exposure helps. Put up those accolades on the sins site to let new people know as well. For the record I hate wrestling but this old time favored analogy of mine seems to fit. <
Best laugh of the day!
I never knew that about the 200 series cards with them downclocking. I would definately try the steps in that forum thread i posted then just for testing purposes to keep the card at a constant core speed. Hope it works out for ya. I've searched and searched on various ways to stop the chug with even 100 vs 100 ship battles to no avail.
I would definately like to play. I've been playing the sinsplus+BK mod for some time now. I've played at least 200 hours on single player but I haven't played much multi. I know what i'm doing though. The reason i've avoided multi is the fact that I don't like carrier & lrf spam and like a more complete game. I view sins as a fun game of chess and not a rush game. I'd definately be down especially since I am completely in love with sinsplus+bk's mod
