big spiky interstellar eggplant I love it!
Simmyaz
Yeah i love the Ogrov but the micro is a tad bit annoying. I love the little searchlights on it!
Recnetly with entrenchment it seems like alot of the shield meshes are causing a bit of a stutter to me. I never really paid attention to the shield shapes and colorations before but i've noticed a few things since moving to entrenchment. When I invade a system and I launch some fighters/bombers (about 15 squads total) against a starbase, when their weapons connect and the shield mesh becomes visible, my computer slows down to a degree where it is noticable.&
Many mods are 1.2 compatible. Still though i hear ya on the mod thing. You get used to the eye candy
Here's another forum thread I came across with a similar situation. Dunno if this will help though as i don't have a 200 series. http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?p=1033353900 My question is what is your card clocking to when it's unpaused and how are you verifying that you card clocks ba
There's 2 valid sides to this. The people who like long games, and people who want shorter MP games.
Why not have a setting to choose what starting tech level the game starts at?
Unfortunately no. I would hit up the support guys with a detailed description. The best you're going to get right now is version 1.05.
I make up my own story while I play. Rename your planets and cap ships and enjoy yourself. I mean what were those starcraft missions? defeat base? destroy superweapon? Escort "X" unit to (X,Y) coordinates? I think every aspect of a starcraft mission is contained within a single sins game.
Is there a big sign on my car that says the warranty is not transferrable should i sell the vehicle? It doesn't need to be in 72 point text in triplicate screaming at you for attention. A bulk of the important info is always in the EULA. You should have know that and read up on it. It falls upon you as the consumer to make informed purchasing choices. Don't blame IC/SD for your lack of foresight. There is a big difference between a customer and someo
That is a great shot actually. Reminds me of a splash on a game's cover art.
I think the thing is balancing. I believe the reason the starbases are so weak currently is that you can have 1 per system. Imagine if the starbases covered 50 % of a grav well and and were far more powerful but you were limited to only building one for every 5 planets you owned to make a true central spoke for a sub grouping of planets. Currently starbases show up in every system. Make starbases have their own crew chain like with capital ships but make them act
Personally there must be a cap per system on mines. At their current levels the game can get awfully slowed down when you have hundreds of mines. I don't care what the backend story explanation is, just limit the amount of mines per system to allow the game to run smoothly.
I've noticed both with 1.12 and with entrenchment occasionally certain ability notification graphics are applied to the inside of an items model making it tough to see if that craft has the effect. I've noticed this with the resupply on the argonev starbase. When gauss and hangers diaplay the resupply graphic fine, on civil and military research buildings the resupply buff graphic is inside of the building making it tough to see (aside from the infocard) if the buff is applie
Heres a solid idea I came up with. Please read this and comment. One additionaly thing i thought of was to add an additional tactical/logistical structure which would be a targetting array specifically for uplinking to the starbase and increasing it's targeting range. Orbital rangefinders....radar dishes,,,, call it what you want. Each one added adds to the range of starbases weapons by
Play risk. You think there is an underwater highway from brazil to africa? It's added for playbalancing. Not realism.
Interesting how there is one item that augments a factions natural strengths. Advent can get manifest dominion for even more cultural control. Tec can use the miniaturized cargo to beef up their already crazy economy. Vasari get the bio computer which would stack with their increased population growth.
I've had some random maps which were things of beauty for their balancing and planet placement. I wish this could be done as well.
If the disc is not required to play the game I could theoretically install and update the game for myself, and then "sell" the game to a friend and he could install and update the game and then "sell" the game to yet a third party and the cycle continues. Are you going to tell me that this is an excellent business model to ensure that the game deveolpers receive payment for their work? Again I must point out that nothing is preventing you from playing the game "as is" from th
Nothing is preventing you from playing the game. You can install sins on over 9000 computers if you wanted to. You just can't get the patches which is rightly so.
I figured i'd put it here since it's not really feedback.
anybody know what the 3 new artifacts are? I've seen the one that increases trade by miniaturizing trade goods but i'm wondering what the others were.
Personally I will take my highest crystal producing planet and my highest metal and I will only place trade ports there and will have all run resource focus. This can really pump out alot of metal and crystal and the additional allegiance through allure is quite nice for some extra credits.
excellent idea. Make flak frigs minesweepers. Yeah the ruiner needs to be addressed. Ruiner mines are free and the micro to use it without cluttering your marvelously created empire needs to be updated. Personally I think mines should be limited to the outer ring of the gravwell only
Stagger the ranges of the weapons on the bases more. The first weapon upgrade should add the close in weapon and the 2nd weapon upgrade should be for the long range. Increase the long range weapon range considerably but drop the damage so it can at least inflict some DPS on units that may choose to make a run through the fortified system to a rear undefended system. Making this type of change would give the starbase a larger area of coverage without making it
Additionally after playing the Tec side for quite some time i've begun to wonder if the pulsing graphic on the top of the argonev base is only supposed to be there when the shipbuilding upgrade has been purchased. I mean the starbase looks fine without it and having it there to indicate that the shipbuilding upgrade has been completed would be nice to be able to tell what functions a starbase has. I build colony pods on the vasari base but i never saw any visual change.
