i keep an akkan with maxed targeting uplink next to my primary frontline starbase and even with that the range is not very sufficient.

i ran into this as well. 1v1 game regardless of bounty amount it would show both player names with the sword icon on the pirate screen.

While playing tec with a large amount of civil reseach going on i qued up the orbital refinery and trade port. I was instantly able to build them and they actually spawned refinery ships and trade ships which were functional and were gaining credits and resources for me. This whole time the research for these items never started and was still in que. I was also able to cancel the research and keep the buildings along with a refund of the initial research. i keep my sli turned off as it pans waaay to quick on the galaxy view. Plus with SLI enabled I can't force vsync regardless of the method i try to force it. The slowdowns on big battles aren't video related. It's all the ai and ship stats and econ that punishes the processor. My video card temps barely go up at all unlike in other 3d intensive games.

One thing i noticed which is minor with the sins plus + bailknights mod is that the cielo designate target effect laser is away from the ship and doesn't look right. Just figure i'd throw that in there just in case. If theres any way to fix it locally let me know. Appreciate it as always. This mod is the best and I love me my tec battles

Got forbid I have to install a third party piece of software like adobe acrobat to read a PDF file for my motherboard just because asus would allow a direct download. How dare they make me use a program against my will just to look up jumper settings! You mean that the torrent and warez sites are actually forcing me to use WinRAR and 7zip to unpack their files!??

I'm gonna pull my 2nd video card physically from my system and see what that does for performance. I installed my 2nd card for SLI around the time that 1.05 came out and that is when i really noticed a few performance drop with SLI on or off. Frankly,,, i love this game however I want to know what kind of a system I need to run it at 45 fps or more even during large 200+ ship battles. What system do the magical devolopers play this game on to make it look pretty

Odd indeed. I also run at 1680x1050 4aa and I never got 60 fps on 500 ship fleet battles and on paper i have a faster system. In actuality i've seen a performance increase with 1.11 from 1.05. I would oftentimes get 10 fps (sli or not) with heavy fleet battles with 1.05 but that doesn't happen as often for me now. Perhaps you should try disabling SLI for sins just for testing purposes. Turn bloom off. With SLI on when you zoom out to the galaxy

i noticed this as well when i played on 1.05. haven't checked it on 1.1 but i do recall it quite vividly on 1.05. A certain amount of damage has to be done to unstun the ship. In large battles this is good because it takes a ship out of combat while your ships focus on other active units but when i've disabled a retreating enemy cap ship by itself, my unit's wouldn't attack until the effect is cleared. The game i played recently had every planet in the home system except for the homes were asteroids. Every one. I was used to see a few desert and ice worlds mixed in but this one threw me for a loop. Personally it made the rush to hold gateway and the other system all that much more important and upped the pace of the game. very fun

Gateway has always been one of my favorite maps but i just played it on 1.1 and it was completely different. Gateway's starting system used to have many many planets but now it's a reourceless wasteland of endless asteroids. Was this changed with 1.1 and what other maps were changed?

Excellent mod both with and without bailknights . Until the alpha build of entrenchment comes this will be my mod of choice. Thanks again to everyone for keeping this standalone mod alive.
