DUDE! You have to set it in MAIN SINS FOLDER Ie. C:/ProgramFiles/SinsofASolarEmpire Copy-paste the entire dev folder right into your sins main folder THEN itll work. Right now your asking it to load with no back files what so ever!

I feel we are in the presence of a pirate trying to work his way into getting the current version through forge tools! Unfortunately for you dear fellow...all you need to do is open Impulse and update but since in your case you can't (Torents FTL in certain aspects ;)) you're stuck with having to buy the full version.
