You should check to see if you have system specs to run this game. Update your drivers, check to see the computer is plugged in. :)
A good way to simplify the words tactics and strategy : Tactics are what you do in the field. Strategy is what you do in the tent far from the enemy. You know your tactics failed if your enemy gets close to your tent, You know your strategy failed if you don't have a tent to begin with.
I really like the jobs they did on the titans. They made them stick with the general feel of the races, but at the same time made them very unique so they stand out in a battle. I play Advent and let me tell ya, I can't WAIT to get my hands on those capital ships...
The ships will always stand out in a battle, they are huge. A HUGE slightly improved Halcyon would look better then any of t
I believe it is simple and elegant as it is. Personally i wouldn't sacrifice CPU on this if it means that there would be even more in game lag.
The thing is the advent starbase has low survivability compared to the other races. Proper fleets mow through them very fast and without fleet support they die far quicker then any of the other starbases. You can usually pop an advent starbase before it can use meteor more then once. Ogrovs with upgrades outrange the disorient, and if memory serves they also outrange the meteor (perhaps you need an akkan as well for this). Either way you will need guardians to pus
From what i've seen on pics showing the new factions, the ship looks like the new advent capital ship. It has a similar design in the icon on pictures that were posted showing the advent rebels/loyalist strengths page. When choosing either of the two there are all 6 capital ships shown with small icons. The sixth looks like the cyreathe. Anyways, I don't care if i'm answering your question correctly. You are not my teacher,
Perhaps this is a poor attempt by the developers to sow disinformation as the other guy spilled the beans by posting all the titans with their abilities. The real question is, is this a real beta where we can expect real balance changes? or is it just another part of the hype cycle?
I read each ability in detail, looks like all the creativity went out of them by the time they designed the advent titans, as i feared. Can't wait to vagina of death ya'll.
OP, who better to balance the game then the players who know its ins and outs? Sure there are some glaring issues(a single path to victory being the biggest), but you have to step back and observe the bigger picture about how this impacts the game long term. Assume these issues will be fixed and provide your feedback and be the change you want to see in the game. :)
I would say they need to have a bigger edge then a single debuff, perhaps multiple debuffs to make the swarm of corvettes worth the cash.
I think a titan death should do moderate damage and be reduced by armor and shield mitigation (say base 1000 damage for ships in blast radius). This gives the titan commander one last hurrah and would make killing them more interesting.
I think moons need one more HP upgrade as they are far more substantial then an asteroid.
Well, i just tested, 15 min after the start, i have my titan this is way too fast as the titans are virtually invulnerable to whatever other players can have at the begining. The only defence is a turret spam, and turrets don't move ^^ Also, i figured the only way to kill a titan would be a massive heavy cruiser spam (as flak dies to titans very fast, the fighters take the bombers out easy) i
I have to say, Rebellion makes the game feel complete (although, I welcome the thought of more expansions and please screw the thought of making a new game from scratch :) ). Even the small glimpse i've had playing one single player game as TEC loyalist I can already tell that the design philosophy is right on target. Well done to the developers, This game feels like a remake of sins without the need to make a new game from scratch(something the industry needs to see, im
I'll be on tomorrow, I have the game downloaded and ready to play, but unfortunately work called me in to work a night shift.
I watched the 5v5 replay and I was happy to find it was the game we played together dirty :). I enjoyed cutting pirates off, he should have fought hard for that volcanic at the start. I knew I had a hard row to hoe on my front because we had a 3v2 situation, less worrisome once I had blocked pirates. Through Juggling skills and a lucky drop of the red player the opposing advantage was turned around. The key to victory on my front was the two pronged assault
So wait, there will be an end to my obsessing over tidbits of data? Hell yes!
Advent air superiority is short lived, and easily countered by light frigate spam, more so then any other race. This is because the illuminator takes the most cash/logistics to tech up of the three races and therefore there will always be an advent "shortage" of illuminators when compared to the spam of other races. This makes carrier spam for advent a bad idea because you will literally be facing too many Light frigates for your illuminators to kill. Considering fla
Heh, having this one rant thread is probably all you will ever see, I am pretty much the main advent player and probably the only one who gives a crap about this race for competitive play. If I don't speak up, no one will. Why? because they mainly play TEC/Vasari and will only see the advent titan as a target. I'm a one man propaganda factory working for a minority for a lost cause. Its been a lot of fun :).
Hmm, Quar, spam kanrak king, denouncing spamming....hmm this is interesting. So you spam more units with less capability, instead of 100 ships you have 120. The trade off is more focus dps at the expense of another military asset. I named speed as this asset as it is the first thing that came to mind. There will always be spamming, crying that this will encourage more spamming will in the end be a moot issue, as even you quar, will spam ships. The beauty of thi
Except shield restore cannot self-target, and building multiple Dunovs will cut your firepower so dramatically that the enemy will be able to overwhelm your fleet easily. Personally I only use it in the TEC vs Advent matchup for EMP; too fragile to even consider when faced with typical LRM or Assailant swarms, but against Advent the ability to cut through both shields and antimatter in an area of effect is way too good to pass up.
Um...we are tal
This thread was written during my night shift, got a long week of nights as i'm filling in for the regular guy. I don't dig coffee, keeping the mind active by typing long responses seems to do the trick just fine. :)
Sareth is an idiot. He needs to write essays to explain and complain about simple problems than just saying: "Hey can you do these kinds of designs- posts his " done.
awww you hurt my poor widdle feewings. <
@peeps that don't like Advent's Titans You are entitled to your opinion but my opinion is you are grossly overstating any perceived issues with their design regardless of your sphere of design knowledge. These ships were also designed by graphic artists and approved by people that are shaping the lore of this game. Just because it doesn't fit your preconceived notion on what Advent should be doesn't mean th
They should just give the animosity ability an extra buff where the dps it absorbs also significantly increases the radiance's experience points. That way it will level up faster and get stronger faster than any other capital ship.
That is a great idea! at least it would help you keep pace with enemy capital levelling speeds when you start losing illuminators feeding the enemy a crazy amount of experience
