Well warlok, they are discussing it so this thread could have an impact on their discussions. We will see :)

@ warloklord Nice list of ideas! 1.Sector events: Good idea! Mixing up tactical situations during the game is going to be fun, space weather ftw! 2.New titans: Sure, i'd like more to add adaptation to the strategic environment of the endgame, yet I feel that this would probably take them a lot of time to implement and is therefore unlikely in a DLC. Another expansion maybe :). 3.New artifacts: Why not? 4.Race specific artifacts: It could
Allowing the discord's aoe ability to hurt fighters and bombers would do a lot to improving it's usefulness.
1. More small strategic targets. We know neutral asteroids as high, low investment sources of income. The importance of neutrals has been reduced because now the early game economies are stronger post dlc. The fun aspect of play involving micromanagement of neutrals has also been reduced because the strategic use of neutrals has diminished(note: I know neutrals are important, just not as much so). Yes, i've played with skilled players and the impact neutrals have o
What would you like to see in a new DLC? What is an area of game play that you consider needs improvement? Please, try to see the whole scope of the game when providing responses. Please use the existing DLC content amount as a measuring stick of what if feasible for your own response. Thank you!
Didn't realize people were still reading this. A week or two after I posted this, I figured I could either gripe and bitch about it on here, or I could play the game more and learn better strategy, so I chose the latter. In that time I've lost plenty but I was determined to become better at playing 5s. I absolutely hate playing against the AI as its so predictable and just plain boring. In that time I've become familiar with many of the regular
Multiplayer Sins is the most alive it's been in years, thanks to steam sales. Sins is a game that takes real patience and discipline to learn, and people on average aren't patient, so therefore it's a niche game. Sins is not a game for carebear whiners, most were chopped up and fed to the orkulus or illuminators long ago, and right now they are getting chopped up by early game spam. Many players won't survive the learning curve because it's not easy a
I haven't seen a starbase rush on a critical chokepoint world in a while(and getting early phase jump inhibitors on that planet), that is important for vasari early game survival. Also, I don't know why vasari players don't build more corvettes...they are very strong, especially with armor upgrades early on. In general, without feed, a vasari player should field 1 starbase early on (chokepoint world). Your best bet still is building a fleet, and vasari can still
zoom out farther then normal to see the other star(s)
/SIGNED Let's get rid of this once subtle favoritism.
MINIDUMPS ARE BACK! >.
I really want to know what was changed so that I can test. Yes, i've checked the forums already, no sign of the patch list.
Economically not the best start, yet militarily this start can net an advantage. You have an ally that is VERY close to you, with an easily defended homeworld. Investment in Defense structures will pay off much more and with that choke point you can actually defend something with them. I've had worse starts than this by far, like having an ally that looks like he is right next to me, yet he really is 15 jumps away, while I have to face 2 opponents that got a start like t
I'm surprised nobody discussed corvettes...they have great turn rates and therefore aren't threatened by repulse nearly as much as other ships. They are fast and can exploit the vulnerable window of the guardians. They are low tech, and quick to produce en masse. They also counter illuminators.
Thank you wintermist :) Hmm i've had a thought as well, about the TEC big red button. When upgraded it would cause the starbase to lose it's ability to move, or reduce movement greatly. your thoughts?
Good movie, good times! I was a trekker since the beginning of the next generation, and I enjoy what they have done to the series. It's an alternate timeline, kirk has different experiences and had to grow up faster. Kirk is a lot younger, fresh out of the academy. He's flying by the seat of his pants, staying true to the old vision of the character. He is a bit more of a boyscout though. I'll probably have to see it again.
Funded! :)
@ OP Thank you for guiding our perspective. @ windows 8 conversation: Frogboy should advertise stardock software's windows 8 solution more on their website, as I'd consider upgrading as long as I didn't have to endure the new GUI of Win 8. I found out about this new GUI from another site... and i'm on this a bit, lol.

I don't care that you call me names and consider me ruthless, I can be when I choose to be,
You should take a look at the "updates" tab as their team goes through their conceptualization of the game. The main video on the link is just a regular kickstarter video, imo. Also, take a look at their tech demo, what possibilities for large scale (500-1000 players on screen)combat!
Yep, they got me to actually press that pledge button, for more money that I'll admit directly. Ya'll should check it out. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/13861848/camelot-unchained There is a lot to like about this MMO concept that they have presented us with. I'm going to be an internal tester, so if you want to throw suggestions out there while not investing in t
The text above is just a reminder of how ruthless sareth can be to new players.. beware.
hmm except that I wasn't playing against new players. The thread post is about the new crop of players, they already have many games under their belt and are definately not noobs. Riddleking fails yet again.
