Hi there. Not sure if this is the appropriate place to ask, but lately ive been wondering if it would be possible to join and participate in a modding project for sins if anyone needs help. I dont have any experience with 3DS Max or whatever other programs are used for modeling in Sins, but I do have experience working with 3D in other programs made for engineering like AutoCAD. Me and a friend tried playing together recently and I noticed something strange with the AI the two times we fought against the AI. Even on hard difficulty, the AI would barely build any ships and be very slow at colonizing. Many of their planets very close to their homeworld still had neutrals left in them and they never attempted to take them. Can lag have anything to do with this? At the start of our matches, it usually speeds up the game for the first few minutes

If I am having minidump and multiplayer desync issues with this mod should I just post my logs here? The mod works most of the time just fine, but it minidumps often when I try to launch the game or enable the mod. The other day, it crashed right as I zoomed into a big battle for the first time as well. Thank you! There seems to be a small issue with the ships though. The capital ship names, research icon, and abiltiies are showing up as "String Not Found". How can I fix this?

I was looking through some Vanilla Sins mods which had some fantastic looking Capital Ships to add into the game and really wanted to try them out, but I did not find any mods for Rebellion which also did this. Could anyone tell me where to find some? If there aren't any, how difficult is it to convert a small mod like that which was originally made for Vanilla Sins, into a compatible mod for Rebellion though?

The more I play the more I'm noticing that many of my ships don't always use their abilities as quickly or wisely as they should when I keep them on auto-cast. Most Titans I quickly realized are very bad at deciding when to auto-cast their abilities, but it was much more obvious to notice it with them. I'm currently in an 8P FFA game with 7 AI opponents, and not long ago I had just destroyed my 6th titan. The AI has been just sending them at me constantly. But whats worse, is that not even that long after they are rebuilt, they come back at level 7+. I mean there's just no way. The AI does nothing but attack me and nobody else, but somehow they still manage to level their titan up that quickly before throwing them at me all over again. What gives?

Carriers are amazing though, especially the Vasari one. Having an early game carrier vessel is incredibly valuable. They can single handedly solo even the most heavily fortified neutral planets if high enough level because of how many fighters/bombers it can pop out. I don't even need to send a handful of light frigates with him, and honestly sometimes I prefer not to since LRMs and kodiaks like to focus fire and kill them.

Every time I play a 4P FFA with the computer, nearly every faction will do everything in their power to screw me over as early as possible. They will even completely stop trying to take over neutral planets right next to them if it means getting 1 more ship to the frontlines. And they're stupid about how they use their units too, to the point where they'll gladly let me kill their capital ship. But they can just replace it in the next minute anyway, so it doesn't

Every time I build lots of fighters or anti-air units, they rarely seem to do that much damage in late game. In the game I currently am playing, I had about 30 squadrons of fighters, and they weren't even able to take out an LRM unit in one pass. They are fully researched as well with all autocannon upgrades. And whenever I try to get them to attack bombers, they can't kill them faster than the enemy carriers can respawn them. Am I missing something here?

It really seems like this do. In vanilla Sins, I was easily able to defeat Unfair AI, and had a good chance against Cruel and won most of the time. Now, I'm having trouble against even hard difficulty, and although I am a bit rusty, I am still using the same general strategy I always used before. But I'm not here to complain about the difficulty. I just want to know if they get income boosts at Hard now, because i don't remember that being the case before.&

about an hour after I started a new AI skirmish, and built a ton of trade ports, I began to see these alerts pop up constantly. I really want to try playing this mod on a balanced or mirror map, but all the maps originally made for this game will only use the same default planets for it, right? I think I remember someone saying that you only get to see the new planets and other stuff if you plan on randomly generated maps. Is that right or wrong? Almost a week and a half later and I still haven't experienced the same problem again. Something must have just bugged that particular save file, either by something I did, or from the mod I was using.
