Telecom isn't a naturally monopolistic market. In both the AU and US the companies got significant help from the government to create an artificial monopoly. Google providing competition outside of their trust driving down prices in KC confirms this.

You don't have to have big entities for the network. It will just be a bunch of little companies servicing smaller areas.
Starbases can get strikecraft upgrades, get fighters against bombers.
It's AR vs. AR, need a critique and it was a pretty fun 1v1 anyway. Enjoy http://www.2shared.com/file/or1Tvn9u/AutoRecord-02192158.html
Stardock is still supporting this game so modding is a bit pointless. Once they say they're done and the last version has been played long enough to recognize imbalances that remain then it will be a worthwhile endeavor.
Quoting Timmaigh, reply 16ARESIV shall be read as ARES 4? No man, he's not 4. He's Aresi-5.
I thought he was Aressss
The problem is you have to invest a lot of resources, time, and supplies for returns that are underwhelming, especially since at least 2 parties have to invest so it will gimp 2 people. An Eco player already has to partially invest in the tree to give resources. My quick fix would be to allow the player that raises relations to offer pacts that can be accepted without them having to have the other player also have high relations. However, the offering player
He might actually think that way. In most games it doesn't matter, because the games are short. In this one, wasting 2 hours n bombing every planet when they have nothing to possibly win with is a long time, and boring as hell just watching numbers dwindle.
Wail is an auto win button. There's no strategy involved. It's push button, and out macroing, microing, scouting, countering fleets, etc. is all for naught. It's stronger than all the super weapons and far cheaper. If anything actually played as an e-sport for money had that it would immediately no longer be an e-sport based on that 1 ability alone. The whole damn game Would be shunned. Fortunately sins is more casual than that
It's been an issue for 4 years. Small dev has crappy MP servers/interface. Don't think it's getting fixed, unfortunately. Edit: not that it's always this way, it's just a common ailment.
http://www.2shared.com/file/p5RgGlK3/AutoRecord-02062322.html Wasn't the greatest game, ICO was sucking hard.
I personally think they should switch to steam's MP server, since it's already a steam game now. Instability is a bit ridiculous for being out this long.
What exactly is advent about giving the TEC loyalists an ability all Kol's already have? Especially when it's supposed to be the defensive faction? It almost seems out of place that the defense specialists DON'Tt take one of the most powerful defensive abilities they've had from the start and use it.
You should be set now. Reply to the ticket if you are not.
Yeah apparently I had 2 accounts, I don't remember doing that but it was forever ago. They merged it and it now shows up on stardock entitlements. No dice on impulse or downloading/playing the game, but that's gamestop's problem...another e-mail sent out. Thanks for the help though.
For TEC loyalist: Shield generators become adaptive shield generators, and affect SB's and all defensive structures except itself. Can cover other shield generators but shields do not stack. Stats identical to Kol's level 1, with the 2 upgrades increased to 3, cost decreased accordingly for tier reduction, with the effectiveness becoming equivalent to kol's level 2,3,4. (15-23-32-40% DR and 25-42-58-75% phase missle block respectively)P
yeah that thread lasted all of 3 hours before getting locked for "Inappropriate discussion topic" with no details. Seems kind of...odd. Ah well.
Still no reply. Wondering if my e-mail got lost or something?
KOTOR 1 is awesome. KOTOR 2 needs help, went from a different developer and they got forced into pushing the game out before it was finished. Luckily people managed to restore and finish the game using the unused files from the actual Vocie Actors and turned off portions of the game. http://www.moddb.com/mods/the-sith-lords-restored-content-mod-tslrcm
I haven't played sins in a VERY long time. I was no pro then and could only play sparsely. I'm trying to get an issue resolved with my diplomacy purchase missing from impulse/GS client then will be getting rebellion. Was hoping to get some replays while waiting in the current patch since I see they changed a lot with 1.1....not that I know anything about rebellions current strats since I haven't played it yet so I guess any will do.
Guys, I don't think many of you are getting the level of hate that gets directed at people these days. I get called "retard", "moron", "fucktard", "douchebag", etc. pretty regularly. That's nothing. What people don't realize is that there are people out there who will put serious effort into antagonizing the people who make their games (if they're accessible). I've had people PM me saying t
Wasn't there, e-mail sent. Auto reply said business hours M-F so I guess this weekend is a bust. Thanks anyway.
I bought sins of a solar empire on impulse and then it's micro expansions entrenchment and diplomacy. I've gotten a new computer, and haven't played the game in a while and wanted to give it another go. I download the Gamestop app since that is what impulse became - original game and entrenchment are there but diplomacy is gone for some reason. I would like to know how to get it back, since I paid for it...
Well back from my hiatus in Iraq, in the states...will try to redesign my maps since they didn't make the cut lol
It's not an absolute rule, but definitely preferred, that phase lanes should not cross. The standard maps are a good guide. It might be objected that space is 3d, but most of our system lies roughly on a 2d plane. With some layouts they have to cross though- I had a plan for a ten player map with each player having a roid, and one desert, one ice and one volcanic.. almost all the rest of the map would be magnetic clouds, a link of three of the
