Ah well, at least I don't have anything to do either today or tomorrow and thus the wait can be grinded through.

Two days until the patch... ha-frickin-zah. Wow I can't wait to pdate my mod with 1.1 and what not. Now all i need is to get paid so i can preorder for the BETA...
I've had hard Vasari on researcher build a super weapon, albeit they never fired it.
If it were to be such a list (as yeah there are some plyers who are just not fun to go against for whatever reason) I would make a block list, ya bock the person and they're no longer an issue. or maybe filter settings or something... dunno its both a good and bad idea.
you play against AI
Hard AI and the occasional multiplayer, more so the AI with the beta... it really doesn't matter who plays against what that's really not an issue.
I took a number of screenshots while testing my mod's cap ship which happens to use the Kol's body. Figured I'd share them with everyone. I would love to see Assassin Stealth ships, ships that are virtually undectable except by maybe scouts, like the Space Mines. AS Shipswould be effective against all unit types, not effective against strike craft or structures and quite good at taking out cap ships.
Hello everyone, because of the upcoming patch that raises the number of SC per carrier cruisers, I think that the carrier capital ships are weakened with their rather low number of SC. Although I'm not sure of the number of SC the Advent capital ship got, I think they could get a boost, especially at low level, since the TEC/Vasari cap ship only gets 2 SC at lvl 1(which is as much as the cruiser), then 7 or 8 SC at max level. Sure, they got some weapons and some abilitie
Ah good, no offense, but I think the TEC Star Base looks a little tacky, who knows maybe it'll look better in game, I just wanna see the beauty that is the Advent Star Base.
Not the fact that they're there, but the fact that each faction gets fighters and bombers, and nothing else. Entrenchment will change this a bit and we have other plans for after Entrenchment.
Woo that pretty much sums up everything I wanted to ask. Thx Blair.
The ability is beastly really, overpowered? Only slightly if you ask me. Once they fixed it I played the TEC and after decimating an entire Vasari fleet at my home world also while being attacked by Pirates, i was convinced it had to go on my favorite ship in my mod and since then it's one of the most fun things to use. I haven't played any Multiplayer since 1.04 so I wouldn't know how to combat against another player's short "everyone target that." Amazing that my least favorite race got the
TEC: Sova Carrier Advent: Progenitor Mothership Vasari: Kortul Devastator
Also Felix Drake, the Kostura damages all units and structures within the target gravity well. With tw or three you can completely erase a planets defenses. Quite fun when the Pirates start to get out of hand.
I assume these "Torpedo Crusiers" are simply anti structure, much like the "planet damage only" ships. Much like the planet bombers, there really isn't a need to rn billions of them in a fleet, more about half your normal fleet. So if i run a bigg fleet of oh say, 20 of each frigiate, I'll probably run 10, maybe even five of these new cruisers. However right now i really, really, really wanna see what the Advent Star Base looks like, all we've seen is TEC stuff and it bores me so as I am not
I suppose the correct answer would be "It'll ready when its done." But that takes the fun out of trying to get a time frame now doesn't it? Admittedly I would like to know if we're anywhere close to getting 1.1 anytime soon.
Eh, I've seen some of my ships shoot while closing in at close range, unless I was seeing things.
I'll admit I've been confused by the boost to accuracy. Short of some stats I read a while back about flak having a less than 100% chance to hit strikecraft, I've always assumed that all other ships always hit. So what does that increased chance to hit really translate to?
Basically when you ships are mvoving and firing at ships that are also moving and firing there's a percent chance to hit, Target uplink greatl
The Kostra Cannon is the ultimate way to take out the pirate base, it really is. 3-4 shots (from multiple cannons) usually doe it for me, once they've all been annihilated I just go colonize the base. In my opinion its the best. None of them are usuelss, although I wish you could nuetralize the planet with the Deliverance Engine.
#1 I fully agree on this. I have long wanted total control and diverity among my fleet (I have pages and pages of stuff typed up I just have yet to post it on the forum). #7 As for customization, I do indeed think the preset logos you choose from should act like your team colors when it comes to frigates, cap ships and structures. I would much rather have it emblazoned on the side of the ship then as a floating icon that marks it as yours. "Create your own X" sounds fun but
One would think that colony ships are so powerful because (flavor wise) they hold the future of your race, and (mechanically) they're usually the first cap ship people build. Free colonizer with a body to boot? Sounds good to me. Now on the TEC Colony ship getting the short end of the Col Cap stick, it has Ion Bolt. Indeed the duration is EXTREMELY short but it if manually used on important targets, it comes in handy quite well. My only complaint is that it has a very brief (but fa
It'll be on Impulse only. Once all the micro packs are done they will bundle them up for retail, but as it is a $10 expansion isn't worth to put on store shelves, when you take into account manufacturing the discs, boxes, retailer cuts, etc.
I see the point behind it... looks like I finally need to dust of my card.
Eh, in my opinion cap ships are good as is, I usually have one of each with an extremely large fleet (yeah you can get sixteen but the straight five are more manigable). I micromanage the good abilities and autocast anything that I really don't care for. Usually all my cap ships survive fights because of the tactics I use with them, as for enemy cap ships, the only time I'm ever "Oh damn I need to target that" is if it's lvl 4+, otherwise I just let it fall to the random strike
I may have missed the memo on this, but is Entrenchment going to be at retail and gaming stores or is it going to be a download buy only on Impulse?
Well i would certainly think they'd be expensive, hell they're practically a fortress of death if done right. I don't think the first will be free but I certainly hope so. five times as much as a cap ship? That's 15,000 creds if the numbers are exactly five times. And then you also have the metal and crystal to shove into that cost which also will be undoubtedly expensive. However I am going to reserve my judgment on whether it's "worth it" or not until I get Entrenchment and play with a Star
No, usually I have 1-2 on each planet depending on which player has the most control of a system. Against the AI I usually put one on each planet and then at planets with lots of Phase lands 2-3.
