Hahahahaha - good one! Solutions: L2P vs. something other than the AI. On the off chance that this isn't a troll post: Vasari Loyalists with Stripped to the Core in effect can eat their own starting planets and get such a blitzkrieg economic boost going that they can quickly steamroll any non VL players by having a much larger fleet sooner. Yes, if you doddle and lollygag and generally lose your window of opportunity and let the other players' (or

Even if that is so, it has nothing to do with new features via Steamworks based on player requests. The MP portion of the game does not have any new features except for integration of Steam friends in a list. It doesn't even incorporate as basic a feature as Steamworks ability to invite a friend directly into your game. This is really my only criticism of the game - everything else is great, but the "uses Steamworks features" selling point is laughable. There have been multiple threa

Sorry, don't recall the fleet supply number but somewhere around the 4th fleet supply upgrade from my experience is when Titans and fleet start butting heads in MP.

I would expect a level 10 Coronata to be able to take on an Orky but in reality you're not going to see a fight in a vacuum like that. You'll have a fully upgraded Orky well before you'l have a level 10 Coronata for starters...

I think the more support style Titans like the Coronata and the Vorastra just need more staying power - health and shields - in order to deliver their fleet support. The Tec titans are pretty well balanced this way. I find the suggestion of using guardians and dominas with the Coronata funny (from other threads). Yes, you up its staying power a lot (as long as you are defending and not trying to use those support cruisers after a few jumps) but then your fleet supply is even mo
I just don't feel that the Vorastra has the potency of titans like the Eradica, Ragnorav, Kultorask or Coronata. They all have some killer fleet wrecking moves (I'm aware the Vorastra has "the maw" but you don't get that until level 6. Whereas the Eradica is wiping fleets all day spamming its Chastic Blast). Am I missing something? Is it more of a utility ship with the microphase and the ability to spawn inhibs?
I wouldn't&nb

Well, he is using auto-cast on all abilities and auto-placement of all structures and talks about how little micro battles require....so I don't think his comp stomp game really represents reailty of MP and I didn't get the impression he realizes he is getting away with playing sub-optimally because it's vs AI. In reality, you do actually need to micro most battles and they aren't just attack-move-blob and-forget kind of engagements like he was doing.

There are usually 400-500 players in MP now since Rebellion released. I wouldn't say that "nobody bothers". Those numbers are pretty good for this game - I think using Steam helped those numbers as by its nature it is oriented towards assisting MP and most people I know on Steam play the MP aspect of games if there is one. I think the devs aimed too low for this game's MP personally. I'm hoping a good % of those new players stick around...

This is the single most broken ability I'v seen in this game. Just had a 3 hour 3v3 game where 3 people dropped 2/3 in and it was me and the AI vs. 2 humans still. One of the humans was VR and literally all he had left was his Titan and a cap ship. He would just fight the AI with it until he got it to level 10. I had 150 bombers on it by the end - he would just chase the carriers and try to leech off them and then run from the gravity well once he reached half health and go around tr

It would be amazing if we could hold on to even half those numbers over the next 6 months. My personal wishlist for "how to maintain and grow your MP base": - have a replay section on this forum (new players interested in MP want to see replays to speed up learning process) so replays can be uploaded and discussed - have some kind of elo/ladder system so that people can be matched with people of equal skill and not have boring noobstomps or get stomped over and over by m
Quoting Mr_Book, reply 3 It's only worth it if you like being able to build 10 capital ships, your titan, starbases, and a cannon or two before most players have their 3rd capital ship out. Everybody just calm down. The game just released. Devs have said next patch will focus more on balance. If you've been dealing/waiting so long that your patience has run out and you can't take it any more, then chill out with some other game for a while until 1.02 releases. It's not that hard. If I was the devs I'd be pissed off that some bored kid is on a personal crusade to troll the forums with continual stupid troll threads just because they haven't implemented his bal
