Can we add squads to fleets?I want the fleet icon to for movement and positioning, but squads for attacking, defending and retreating. Example: My fleet would consist of 2 kols, 2 dunovs, 15 cobalts, 5 Garda, 5 carriers and 5 LRMs. My fleet command ship would be a kol, 1 squad would be the 15 cobalts, another 5 gards, another 5 carriers, another 5 lrms. This way I could give my fleet an order to move from my planet to the enemies astroid. On
Tkins
I see nothing.
Sounds like the "pro" can't adapt. Shame.
Start from left and work your way to the right. The first upgrade on the left has no requirements except some credits and crystal. The one to the right of that requires that you've purchased the upgrade to it's left. Hope that makes sense.
Desync. Try downloadinng 1.12 and play someone.
I think by mining barge he meant a ship that mines astroids.. but not too sure. I'll check that mod out, hopefully I can learn some things for my mod. Thanks! EDIT* I clicked the link and I just get routed back to this thread lol.
I feel invisible :( Guys, making them faster isn't going to solve it completely. It's going to make it so when you micro manage it's easier, but we don't want more micro-management. If LF's engaged at the closest range possible and kept firing while moving problem the would be solved. You'd take your 25 LF's shift click attack each one and they would follow the cruisers around the grav well tearing them apart, never stopping to go out of range and having to re-acce
In a game like Sins, the more ships the better. It does make it hard to balance but with the community we have here, things get balanced fairly quickly. The reason I say more ships is better is because it promotes variety of strategy, more options for counters, and longer lasting game play (due to variety). Right now frigates and cruisers fit a specialized roll, where battleships are multipurpose. I think it would be great to add in some more multipurpose ships. 3
It's funny though, most of my previous games have been silent. No one talks or developes strategy. This one was completely opposite and the guy went too far! Constantly pinging, telling us what to do rather than developing together. And everything he was saying was to help protect his boundaries rather than the benefit of the team. In the end he wasn't even the top player! Oh well. Hopefully this weekend I'll have some better luck.
From all the 1.1's i've played so far, lots of people are still spamming LRMS, so to kill them i just pop out carriers and destroy their fleets, but they don't bother to produce flak frigates. I'd wait a couple of weeks for people to change their strategies before making any tweaks. A combination of flak frigs and LR's should be able to take out the equal amount of resources in carriers.
Yeah, you wanna put it on "EASY". Unfair means the computer cheats it's so hard hahaha.
I find LF's are also good at killing seige ships and flak frigates.
Boosting flak frigates is a good idea. I personally think Carriers should be the backbone of a fleet. I don't find spamming them is effective though as HC and LF and some battleships can take them out fairly well. The only issue i've seen is that people will micro them to run around grav wells and ships won't fire on them.
I'd be dissapointed with that fix. The best game experience would be if LF's chased down carriers at close range. They should not stop until they are right on top of the carriers. If LF's were able to do this there would be no reason to balance anything else because nothing else would be affected. Quick simple solution. By changing a stat you're affecting everything in the game and will have to continue tweaking. The problem here is a behaviour problem in attack fu
No it doesn't. LOL you guys are so curious.
If you had all carriers, why didn't he have flak frigates? Also, killing moving carriers is done well with bombers or even fighters. I would agree though. There needs to be an AI rework where ships will effectively fight when other ships are moving. An "engage" mode might do well where all ships attack as close as possible. That way they won't stop at the outskirts of their range.
You might want to take your email off of the forums and PM it. Just for security reasons.
Marza too!
No that would just be rude. My intent is to only encourage people to be cool when playing. Everyone has their own style and turning online games into cookie cutter strategies will just ruin it.
I've yet to see a game like that...
I use Cap ships online and do just fine. It could be the "bang for your buck" is only calculated with total hull points and damage in mind, rather than abilities, seige damage, and hit and run techniques,
Hello All, I'd first like to appologize to some people. I was playing today and had some teammates and I acted like a bit of a douche towardes them at one point. It was uncalled for an I'm sorry. What I'd like to point out though is what drove me to insanity. There were three of us playing on a team and one player decided he was king and would tell everyone what to do. He proceded to ping multiple planets multiple times and kept telling our third
bump was this ever solved?
