Darvin3 is really on top of it. The AI is a challenge at the start but really lacks in the late game. Unfortunately it's the hardest part of fixing the AI. Just having it cheat more really isn't going to do anything. We need to have AI that has more advanced tactics and more dynamic. Not easy though :(

AI seems quite improved so far.
Why don't I see any pics?
Hey thanks for the direct response Brad. Clears everything up. Also, this is a big reason why I am very critical of anything I read, especially headline based news!
This happened to a mod I made. But I've never seen it in Entrenchment.
http://gamepolitics.com/2009/09/28/boycotting-boycotter-stardock-takes-ups What's this all about?
Orkys should get a penalty to damage while moving.
Weird, I was way more excited for a Diplo expansion than a Defence expansion. not so sure now, but I'm trying to quell my enthusiasm.
What settings can you change? Mine is always all over the place so I have to minimize everything.
^I'm buying a PS3 just for it!
http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=25238 Apparently it's the hardest game of this generation of consoles.
I didn't even know that, they are usually too busy trying to kill my bases on stars and in neutral grav wells. I'll have to stop building repair platforms. EDIT I was refering to the repair platform + star base comment
Looks pretty good! Can't wait to test it out.
Please do not waste precious resources on campaigns. If anything, spend time creating a campaign editor. The community at large has enough talent that they can produce 10 x the amount of content IC can alone and with considerable quality.
It can produce 60% of it's parts. It says in the link. They are working to increase that with the ability to build circuitry. Plenty of things can and are built entirely out of plastic. This is also the very initial stage of an idea's development cycle. It holds massive potential.
I nominate you.
I believe they said Civ games were an inspiration. This is a 10 dollar expansion though so don't expect a truly massive diplomacy system. To me it looks like they are changing it a lot but I doubt it will use up sins' full potential. This is a micro expansion afterall.
The way sins is designed it's a single player game. They would have to allow far more customization for this game to do well online. Even if they had a bunch of features changed with ICO, they'd need to make the game end much quicker. It's just how successful RTS's work. The matches can't take 2 hours plus. Hell even an average game of over an hour is too long. The average person doesn't want to spend more than 1 hour playing a single match.
There's always time to add in new features/ideas.
Maybe they could offer 2nd places kinda thing. Or a vassal win. So on your MP record you have W,V,L,T. That way you haven't completely lost, you can still fight for the V win but you won't be the MVP.
For the most part you missed the major point in each type of strategy. ie. Having such a powerful trade enterprise that my culture spreads throughout other empires What's the difference between building a massive trade network and accumulating lots of cash? The former results in the latter. The difference is, that the trade
Only the first one is about using cash as a weapon. All the others involve building something, controlling strategic resources or political maneuvering. Most are actually a combination of. Also, these aren't end game strategies where you'd have already amassed a fleet or superweapons. This is something you'd do throughout the entire game. So if you dont' want to waste ships on attacking a planet, you can instead pay for an uprising. Or if yo

AHAHA that so is Centurion's line! I think the AI takes too long to surrender as well, contrary to the original poster's veiw.
