I believe SivCorps flagship was the kitbash that was posted a few pages back. It looked pretty good, actually, and works a hell of a lot batter as a flagship than the current Vasari model.
blobness
Meh, compared to Black Mesa, the wait for this has been paltry - which is startling considering the quality we've seen come out of it. Keep it up ManSh00ter.
Stant, your minesweeper fix literally just saved my ass. Thank you for that. [e digicons]|-)[/e]
Glad to help out. So far I haven't run into any other problems whatsoever, and I'm glad that I haven't been hit with this mysterious .dds problem. So, not to sound like an ungrateful kid, but are there any plans for the Vasari Flagship, graphically? The other two flagships, despite being kitbashes, flow together really well and look like logical designs for their races, while still remaining unique. The Vasari one...not so much. Most of the time I'm unable to tel
What exactly are these issues? I use exclusively ATI cards and the Planet Mesh issue was the first Graphical Glitch I've ever had with Sins since I bought it in 08.
Yep. I'm confused too. Either way, I made it work, without even a loss of quality. Maybe it was just a faulty download somewhere, I dunno, Just thought you guys might want to know about it. Again, thanks for the help, and continue your excellent work please.
Well, whats weird about that Is I went and checked in my Stock Sins Texture folder and all the files there are .dds too. And, upon closer inspection ( I put the mesh files back to check) the texture doesn't change in the slightest when I remove them. It's just that the Big ass spot of darkness on the northern and southern hemispheres is gone. Thats it. EDIT: All the relevant planet files are .dds, I mean.
I FIXED IT. Turns out, it wasn't a problem with the Textures. It was an issue with the Mesh, of all things. Removing the Planet_Desert Mesh files reverted it to the Stock Desert and every things good now. Unless I'm terribly mistaken, this means this was not, in fact, a .dds issue, correct? In any case, Thank your for your help DS team, and I hope this little bughunt has been beneficial to you. Cat, just go into your mesh file and get rid
Well, Got done with Work early, figure I'll go in and play with the planet textures. Random thought, when looking at the messed up textures, it almost looks like the affected sections are actually portions of another planet texture that were thrown in by accident. I'm no texture artist, but does that sound like something you guys have run into before? Btw, thanks for being helpful. I know that as problems go this one really isn't all that big
Already attempted a few full redownloads and reinstalls. It isn't terribly annoying, and nothing else ever goes wrong, but I figured you guys would want to know.. If I had the time I'd just go through and find whichever texture files were associated with desert planets via trial and error, then just use the stock desert textures but I'm kinda supposed to be working right now. Since it was brought up before, yes, I am on an ATI card, a 5570 to be exact.
Yeah, I ran setup, but neglected a reboot. Lemme try that now. Either way, thanks for the new files Nacey, if all else fails. Like I said before, the mod runs fine aside from that one little issue with the desert worlds. [e digicons]:annoyed:[/e] EDIT: Yeah, I can confirm that, for me at least, the DX fix did nothing. Oh well, Stock Planets it is then. SECOND EDIT : Okay, now this is getting weird. The .tga Files had no effect either. I'm ass
Just tried the DX fix. Still no joy. Could you please let us know which of the files in the textures folder applies to the Desert Planets?
https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/335474/page/167/#2890479 In your case, just pull out the textures for the Desert planet out of there and put them in your texture folder and see if that fixes anything. If it doesn't, I'll try to figure something else out.
I just tried this, and simply putting the Desert planet textures in the Textures folder had no effect. Upon closer inspection
Tried it, no problems but the issue with the Desert Planets did not go away. Thanks for the suggestion though. Does the Hemisphere thing happen to other planets on your install, Cat? Cuz near as I can tell it's just an annoying graphical glitch with DS. Doesn't happen in Stock Sins either.
Hi, I'm having the same Hemisphere Corruption issue as CatinALawnMower. I've done 2 reinstalls, as well as updated my drivers, and the issue persists. Hardware is not an issue, either. This problem only seems to affect Desert Planets, however. All other planets are fine, I have not had any minidumps, and aside from this one thing, the mod runs perfectly fine (and is a blast to play, I might add,) so this is really more an annoyance than anything else. I just tho
