It's somewhat refreshing to see a Sci-Fi race written that's simply interested in slaughtering everything not like them. Too much of the recent Sci-Fi I've read/seen/played gives the Alien Intelligences weird ulterior motives and plans for Galactic Equinoxes and other BS like that to try and humanize them or make them look smarter or more cunning. As for inspirations/shout outs/similarities, the Xin, to me at least, seem to channel a bit of t
I'll simply point out that Warhammer 40,000 has expanded considerably*, and is arguably just as comprehensive in scope as the SW background. *As it's gone from a TT wargame to a massive multi-media franchise encompassing (probably) hundreds of novels/short stories/graphic novels/audiodramas, eight video games, a CGI film, and the epynomous TT game (which has itself expanded to cover several specialist variations).[/quo

I personally despise Mines in Sins, but that modification sounds awesome. If you can get the balance locked down there's no reason I can think of that your work wouldn't be an awesome addition to DS. It's already revamped the rest of the game, might as well give mines the runaround too.

Ha, I didn't even notice. Sorry Oatesy. Not to be a bother, but are we going to be seeing an updated Flagship mod anytime soon? I'm unaware if any work was done to fix the Hellion model, or if Stant's fix for the shuttles has been implemented, but it's getting kind of annoying not being able to get a pair of Flagships to duel, and unfortunately my schedule precludes MP for the most part. The Blob remake tries to ramp up the horror and in many ways succeeds, mainly through abuse of showing off how the titular beastie digests people. The problem comes in whenever the Blob is just oozing around by itself - It literally looks like jam, as my avatar can attest. I prefer the original, personally, but I also have a soft spot for old-ass horror films. Though I haven't seen the original Dawn of the Dead, and I continually berate myself for it.

For some unfathomable reason your desire for Strawberry jam has made me want to order a Pizza. Thank you, Badtune, for somehow roundaboutly forcing me to spend my money. [e digicons][/e] Glad you've seen the damn movie though. I've met a surprising amount of people who have literally no knowledge of it. But yes, the 80's Blob did look a little too much like spilled fruit-product. Almost ruined the movie for me on subsequent re-watches.</

Figured I would have to do all that at some point, but thanks for the walkthrough, Stant. Once it's actually in the tree for both factions, the AI will make use of it though, and thats all I needed to know to make the attempt. I suppose there are some benefits to AI being hardcoded and unchangeable, at least for an incredibly amateurish Sins modder like myself. [e digicons][/e]

Plus I know he just wanted to help, and has contributed better then most that come here, so I'm willing to extend a courtesy of explaining without the insults.
Yay, people think I contributed. And now for a completely OT question! It's rather simple, so I don't feel its deserving of its own thread. I know Sins AI is hardcoded and a little wo

Sorry, my bad for not examining the files you posted. I assumed they were the same ones you had linked me earlier. The only reason I took offence was that I felt you were being dismissive of a tested method in a situation where it may have been useful, but now that I know it would be redundant its a non issue, and I could've worded that post better anyway. Either way, I'm just here for the mod and the discussion, and if I feel I can contribute in any way I
That will only work if it's only the original planet meshes causing the problems, and as the mod uses the proto planet version of the meshes for the originals to get the size differences, it may not do the job.
I only stated it as an option because it fixed this exact issue for me and a few others, and the mesh was confirmed by one of the team members as the source
