I personally get Desert Planets with great big oil slicks at the poles. Looks like some kind of ecological disaster, or like they've removed the sand or something (somehow). I like it personally.
If for whatever reason you wanted to get rid of that Oatesy, and Stants texture fixes dont work (they didnt for me) simply delete the mesh file for the Desert planets in the DS folder. It removes the black boxes
blobness
I can only assume the reason is because large quantities of beer and multiple cheap hookers in the same room can result in a fun and memorable experience for all, VD's be damned.
Could always crack open the music files and take a look. Thats how I found the song I was looking for a few days ago.
I figured the Xin wouldn't be overpowered as a race, but one on one with comparable ship classes a Xin ship would always win. Still nice to see that you're making efforts not to break them too hard though [e digicons][/e] Once this gets ported to (or released for) Rebellion, Sins will have become everything I wished it was at release.
I love how much more tactical that gameplay was as compared to stock Sins and a good chunk of other mods. Also, Space Commies fighting Space Nazis, with Space Murrica coming in to 'save the day' later? Oh hell, yeah, I'm keeping an eye on this. Good show, Swiss Knight.
Holy crap, I didn't know their abilities were that powerful, and for some reason I had completely missed Stant's post. I need to start sticking a few squadrons of those on my starbases.
I have never once used EWS squadrons. What am I missing?
I can't help but feel that the Stock races are going to be just a bit outclassed by our betentacaled friends [e digicons]}:)[/e] .
Sins doesn't have turret animations. Your Mobile Suits will be glorified man shaped fighters or frigates. Sins really isn't the right platform for this, at all, but if you're in desperate need of a UC Gundam strategy game theres an excellent mod for Homeworld 2 that does just that.
That trailer was great, and the quality of this mod is astounding. I can't wait to play it.
GODDAMN KADESHI [e digicons]XO[/e] I know it's OT for DS, but I love seeing those old comics again. Homeworld has always been my favorite RTS, and it pisses me off that it hasn't gotten the love it deserves.
Hey, I remember when that got posted all over the Relic Forums. Makes me miss Homeworld.
Regarding the Shuttle Ability, is it impossible to just name it something descriptive like "Admiral on board" or "Escape Pods" or something stupid like that and then leaving it as is, instead of just having a String Not Found?
Aight, just played around for a bit. Only with the Vasari so far, and I've only used the Hellion in a few fights, but I'm going to be busy for most of tonight and tomorrow, so I figured I'd drop my little bit of feedback now. First - I like the direction here. At first, I was a tad worried about the Flagships coming along that late in the game, but the Hellion, at least, started with stats that were more than capable of keeping pace with enemy
Downloading now. Sounds interesting.
It does, doesn't it.... I think I'll keep this design for a future race I may make one day. I want to keep that big "brain" part on the back, I just have to find a way to build the ship around it. And thanks Stant123
You should. It's a damn good model as kitbashes go, and, again, you get a good texture on that thing and you can do whatever y
That thing looks Lovecraftian. Shit you not, that was my response when I first saw it. In that sense, it's great. With a proper texture it could make a terrifying Alien vessel, and I could even see it fitting in with Mansh00ter's old Xin models. That said, I'm REALLY not getting any Advent vibes off this thing. If I couldn't pick out individual ship models, I would ask if you were creating a new race. It, like some of your other models, just looks like t
Yeah, lets stick to this one. The inverted version doesn't have the same angelic feel the current one does, and thats a major part of the model for me. It's fitting for an advent capship too.
Regarding the model posted above, I prefer the current model. Looks more swooping and Angelic, which is what I figure was the point. And the prospect of this new Flagship related content excites me. I just worry that they'll be too easy to replace once lost.
Really? Badass, I hope you find a way to pull it off.
@ - Oatesy03/all others - Advent model stays as is.
Good. I'm rather attached to it now. So are you going to release a standalone update for Flagships once the Hellion become available, or are you going to wait until the next release of the mod proper?
Sins doesnt multi-thread, thats why stupid powerful single cores are always recommended on these forums. And even then, if the game is long enough, it will start to lag, thats just the way Sins is made.
No, I'm quite fond of it too, I was just throwing a random suggestion that might work, in response to the above criticism. Both it and the Phoenix are great models for what they're meant for.
Yeah, definitely digging the Hellion, or whatever its called now. Looks beautiful in game. Regarding NHD-151's post, I can kind of see where he's coming from, but I don't believe making the wings slope downward would make it look better in the slightest. In fact, that sounds downright hideous and would make the model look massively out of place, IMO anyway. Now, if you were to simply eliminate the downward curve on the n
Wait wait, hold up. It lacks planetary attack weapons? Isn't that going to massively unbalance the other races, seeing as how they'll start with free planet attack weapons in their flagships? Or did I misread MyFist's post?
