If you want some ideas on how to make replicators a playable race, I suggest you low at Stargate EaW, they have managed to recreate a number of ships we saw in the show. Also they only really need to "take over/capture" ability for them to act some what like replicators allowing them to capture enemy ships :)

It's a shame you gae up on it Myfist, although it is true there are a tonne of errors on dev exe, but regarless of this I enjoyed seeing the models you were able to convert in Sins of a Solar Empire. So minimum big congrats for managing what you did, even with the errors in dev exe they are awsome!

You could mod the effect of the ability to make it look like little shuttle craft are docking with the target ship, kind of like the ability of colonise.
Mice pics, would be nice if there was a beta download though, would really like to see those models, they are the only life form like models I have seen so far for this game.

Managed to get it to work, my mod now spawns asteroids in a tight circle :) The maximum offset relates to the distance from the edge of the gravity well, the minimum offset relates to the mesh of the planet/asteroid etc they are orbiting. So if you have a moveable area of 45000, then the max distance offset should be 35000 - 40000 and the inner/minimum should be 5000 - 10000 and ta da you have asteroids which are in a tight circle that look like t

Just out of curiosity, would you when this mod is finally complete ever complete a "mini" mod of the enterprise series? There weren't many ships or characters, but it would be fun to play a tiny mod which includes star trek, vulcan high command and the Andorians. P.S. I love the Vulcan ships (especially the future designed ship)

I saw something about a minimum distance offset and maximum offset which I thought might relate to the spawning (in the Resource Asteroid Entity Files) but it didn't seem to do anything at all, and certainly caused no errors when editing. Really hope it isn't hardcoded :/
Not sure if this question has already been asked, but is there a way to alter how resource asteroids are spawned? Specifically I would like my resource asteroids to be spawned in a tight circle around each of my planets, rather than scattered randomly'ish within the gravity well. If anyone can point me to the line of code I need to edit etc I would be very appreciative. Many thanks, Ben
OMG you have a Vulcan Ship!!!!! I am really surprised that the Star Trek Mod doesn't have a mini mod where its from the Enterprise Series, and you have the Enterprise, alond with all the Vulcan ships and Andorians! Really would love to play any of the Vulcan ships, they are my fave :)
