Quoting Mecha-Lenin, reply 18Honestly, I think the jumping Orky just needs it to be a second upgrade for Phase Stabilization Arrays. That should nerf it. No, it just increases cost slightly. It doesn't address the issue.
Well really its removing access to one level of either the health/shields/armor upgrades or the weapons upgrades. Lack of either one makes an Orky at least manageable to defeat,

Let's compare tier 1/2 corvette raids and tier 2/3 bomber raids. Carriers are easily counterable with LF, which is faster and kills carriers pretty fast. Corvette raids are "countered" by flak, which is slower than corvette and, before reaching critical mass, takes ages (relative to corvette speed) to kill them. Ea
No, there's actually no way to give a temporary max boost to allegiance or to specific planets, it has to be global. Base value is the value you get without having to research it. So if you did this. modifierType "AllegianceFromCultureMaxPerc" baseValue 0.050000 perLevelValue 0.050000 All planets would have a +5% max allegiance from the start of the game, and once you research the tech you'd get an ad

Which is also why I was asking about the base value %. This may be impossible the way I've outlined it, I may need a completely new buff or somethi

Hi all. I'd like to mod the Advent Loyalist "Assimilated Populace" ability to include a 5% increase to planet allegiance maximum. I believe that to do this correctly would look like this: numEntityModifiers 1 modifierType "AllegianceFromCultureMaxPerc" baseValue 0.000000 perLevelValue 0.050000 (With indents where appropriate) My question, other than 'will this work', is what does the baseValue...value...have to be? That code is copied from

Has anyone else noticed that when an Eradica activates Unyielding Will, it cant use the ability again? I was playing a game yesterday where I killed an enemy Eradica, which used Unyielding Will. Then it was rebuilt and attacked my friend. He killed it and instead of Unyielding Will activating, the titan promptly blew up. Is this supposed to happen or is it a bug? I took a look at the ability buff files and the ability files themselves and I didn't notice anything about use restrictions so

Not "lrms pwnzorz corvettes", not "lrms roflstomp corvettes into pretty little pieces". My point was that corvettes are not the all powerful early game monsters you make them out to be. Dont try to distract from your own pointless and obvious trolling by calling me a troll.

Your frustration? Understandable. Your ranting? Unhelpful. If the devs had pushed back the release date to make more thorough fixes then everyone would complain. They meet their deadline, but dont fix everything, and people complain. Most likely now that the official release is out it will get patched like mad. But lets walk down your rant real quick. Talked with Quar: no purpose here, you're ranting but attributing your rant to someone else. Blame sidestepped? No, not really.

Perhaps Elite Crews could be an AOE passive that only affects capital ships. It makes a certain amount of sense that way, something like "The Corsev loans highly trained capital ship crewmembers to other capital ships in its immediate vicinity, increasing the effectiveness of nearby capital ships." It would provide buffs that are somewhat nerfed versions of the current Elite Crews buffs.

I'd love if they split the RA capital ship summon in two, like they did with the frigates. One would get you a random attack/damage oriented capital (kortul, rankulas, vulkoras) the other would be random support capital (antorak, jarrasul, skirantra). This way you dont end up with too many Antoraks or Space Eggs. This isnt a perfect fix but at least it would let you load up on damage oriented capital ships if you want to, or vice versa.
2. Make Desperation an AOE that gives a reduced version of the effect to all friendly ships within a radius. Similar to Targeting Uplink on the Akkan, though obviously much better. Makes the titan passively more appealing and fits lore-wise. Idk about making desperation an AoE.. I get the feeling that you'd just kill everything without even trying...
It certainly could be, but

I think adding some kind of culture production to the VLT makes a certain amount of sense, after all you'll never ever get the in-culture bonus while playing as the VL's unless you completely ignore their most significant ability. Also, I like the idea of making Desperation an AOE that buffs surrounding friendly ships. It wouldnt be hard to do and it fits very well lore wise. Obviously the effects for ships other than the VLT would be reduced. After some more play time

Tossing my 2 cents into the mix here, seems to me that maybe Detonate AM should at least interrupt titans. I can't be the only one whos seen how badly the VRT rapes an advent battle ball. And yes, Chastic Burst is real nasty too but Nano Leech ignores shields and drains AM. For a hull-weak and AM dependent race (advent) this is just nasty to deal with and they have no good way of avoiding it, other than repulse.

Volt, have you thought at all about just increasing the damage resistance passive of Desperation? To me the biggest problem with the Vorastra is that it is supposed to replace your capital planet and thus keep you from losing the game but is in fact mightily squishy. Giving the Desperation passive an extra 3% per level or so would at least help with this.

^^This. Also, for further lore purposes you could say something like inthe spirit of cooperation the Vasari Rebels have allowed Advent and TEC engineers to inspect Orkulus starbases, leading to the development of advanced movement capabilities and phase jumping. (The advanced movement bit ties in to my idea for the first level of a 2 level upgrade for orkies for the phase jump ability. It would be a boost to movement speed and turn rate. Shameless plug accomplished). Edit: By "^^This"

But without an amount of micro that is currently made prohibitive by the movement characterisitics and collision issues with the VLT (the biggest ship in the game) it will be very hard for anyone (
