people use teamspeak and other chating programs
imo you see this in clan matches, but not in normal public games. as this would be a tech you can research it would be up to the players if they research it or not.
Alter Ego
The title says it all. A technology that allows you to read what the other team is talking about in their chat. Of course this would make sense in multiplayer games only (or do allied AIs talk to each other? lol). Would you like to see have something like this?
I have the first "bug". Whenever I switch between entrenchment and diplomacy i can reconfigure my settings, as it reverts them back to the defaults. Otherwise it is working.
This has already been reported. Mods say it will get fixed soon.
So, if vasari attack with fighters an advent should get fighters himself while if a vasari is being fighter rushed by an advent he should get flak. Is that correct?
Heh yea. Otherwise you might attack a starbase, get it below 1000 hp and then see your fleet disappear suddenly because time is up.
What about this: After certain research you get an option to hire ships from the black market. You get a option where you can select how many ships of each type you would like to have and for what amount of time you want them or maybe just what amount of fleet capacity the fleet should have (like RA where you have no option to select the exact ships). Of course it would get more and more expensive the more and the longer you want them. After paying your fee the ships spawn somewhere (
This is a must have option imo. Also it might be possible to use this in diplomacy, for example ther could be an option for giving another player control over certain ships for a given period of time. this way you could finally coordinte attacks with AI players. What i mean is a mission like "put 20 assilants and 5 carriers here and give me control of them for 5 minutes". No trading of ship specs or tech, you just hire the ships for a certain time. Might be a bit diffic
Definitely worth the money, no matter if you play single player or online. I personally was a bit unsure about software that is available for download only but now I like it - I can play wherever i want, just download it and start. No need to carry my CDs to my parents or my girlfriend. If i remember correctly there is also an option for creating an offline archive that you can use to install the game on a PC that has no internet connection.
they are crusiers vs frigates. Its not about civs or mil
What about starbase constructors then? They are civil and cruisers. I think you refer to where the buttons for building the ships are in the menu. This is not what i mean. What i mean is this: If you put some frigates next to a colony ship and drag a box around all of them then only the frigates get selected. This is because col ships are civil ships. The
Envoy cruisers are military ships, i.e. they are listed together with caps and frigates and when you drag a box around a fleet then they get selected too, which can be quite annoying as they are of no use in a combat fleet and in many cases you dont want them to fly together with your attack fleet. In my opinion they are civil ships like colony frigates and should be in the civil part of the tree.
I noticed that the first game you start always takes longer to load since all data has to be loaded from disk into memory. Any game started after the first one launches preatty quick. Maybe it would help if you start a singleplayer game, quit it and go online then. Loading should be faster since all data has already been preloaded.
Diplomacy ico up
Yea. They shut down regular sins lobby to get more ppl into playing diplomacy.
many (all?) ppl seem to have the same problem. ico seems to be down at the moment, my be due to diplomacy beta testing. unless theres an official statement you just have to try again every few hours. see also https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/370236
I think this is normal behaviour. Computer controlled Ships (and also player ships wet to auto attack if I remember correctly) always target the first ship that jumps in. They only switch targets if a better target jumps in, i.e. a ship that can be damged more effectively with the ship's weapons then the current target. As cruisers and LF are strong against scouts, they have no need to switch targerts. An exception are colony ships, they get always attacked with highest priority by the AI shi
1. Longest trade route is drawn wrong when playing on (huge) multi system maps. If hold the cursor over the credit display and zoom all the way out, the trade route is not scaled correctly. 2. Starbase credit scuttle value is shown in red if your actual credits are less than the scuttle value (at least for vasari SB). 3. When Using the black market mini window the sounds sometimes get played twice. This can be irritating as it makes you think you accidentally double-clicked th
(double thread, plz delete this one. sorry ;) )
Will there be any kind of public or invite only beta? If so, how do you join it? Do you get beta access by pre-ordering diplomacy?
btw can someone tell me if there is a option for all ur ships to phase jump at the same time.I swear I seen that tips in the loading screen somewhere. Group Jumping can be turned on by right-clicking on the ship's move command button (the one with the green arrow on it). Select your group, then right-click on the arrow. 2 smaller arrows should appear next to it to indicate that the ships are group jumping now. However group jumping is not al
Hi, I got some problems with managing my fleet properly. I tried both issuing commands by klicking on targets as well as using the empire tree view, but none works fine for me. I give some examples: When attacking with a fleet consisting of several kinds of ships, I'd like to have the ships attack targets that are affected most by their weapons. So lets say I want the light frigates to take out the carriers, the LRF to attack my enemies light frigates and so on. So I Alt-klick on a sh
May be, but the other neutrals I had had their usual 100% health. But I'll take a look at the health of my neutrals as i research hull upgrades next time.
Well, they're indestructible, but still somehow a bug: One of my neutrals got 108% health tonight. Just wanted to report it somewhere. ;)
Hi, I've been wondering about the secrets of economy: (1) How exactly does trade work and what should i do to maximize my trade revenue? Usually, when I got enough space, I spam all planets near my Homeworld with trade ports (at least when i'm TEC so I get them pretty early without having to build tons of labs to research trade), ending up with 3-4 on each planet. I do this because planets near my HW have the highest allegiance, therfore maxing trade output. I've never
Hi, The replay of a Game I've played tonight is broken, all ships except scouts don't move after being constructed. There was still no colony after 5 Minutes (it was a 4on4 and we were expanding pretty quick, so I definitely know the replay doesn't show the actual game). Are replays generally assumed to be broken in the current version or is this an unique bug I've experienced? Is there any point in sending the replay to the developers or are they already being spammed with broken rep
