I think a "An enemy fleet is heading to new coordinates" message would be handy, but only being given when the fleet is of a certain size or includes two or more capital ships. It would help keep track of enemy fleets that are about to attack, which you just need to happen to notice.

Oh. Well probably not, unless Stardock in all their benevolence decide to give you a discount if you have the expansions. It's possible, but I wouldn't count on it.
Well yes, I did mean updates = patches. Ideally, patches might have some tiny bit of new content (e.g, a new unit for something such as Empire: Total War, or a new map for a strategy game) but it is not neccesary. When I said "free updates", I meant "patches (which are free) with new content". I didn't really word it correctly.
For only $40 (although it's probably cheaper now) you could get a copy of The World Ends with You and try to 100% it. Those pins should last you about a year if you play as much as you talk like you do. (that was not advertising at all, just stating the facts )
Just a point outside of the rest of the discussion: He doesn't want to play The World Ends With You, he wants to play Sins of a Solar Empire. I'm pretty sure you can buy multiple copies of items. And it would count as a seperate item anyway, so yes, you could purchase a box after purchasing the expansions by themselves.
Y'know, back in the good old days, I played a lovely expansion called Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge. It had a new faction, added units, different maps, and a new campaign. Personally, it might as well have been Red Alert 3. It wasn't as much an expansion as a new game. Certainly, the campaign was a slightly shorter than the original Red Alert 2. But it also cost slightly less, so it balanced out. To me, Yuri's Revenge is the perfect model of how an expansion should be. More quality game
Do gotta admit, however, that "the people are the heroes" is easily my most despised musical piece I've ever encountered in a game. Absolutely atrocious; I don't know who actually approved it to get into the game.
I love "The People Are Heroes Now". It's one of my favorite parts on the Civilization IV soundtrack. But that aside, Civilization IV is definitely a
Would the simplest way of measuring one's fat not be as they do at rollercoasters? Simply have two seats at the check-in. When the man comes up to buy his ticket, you politely ask him to take a seat. If he can't fit in just one seat, make him pay extra.
I have the Collector's Edition, but I prefer to keep it packed as it is obviously a collector's item. I am totally in love with the majesty of the soundtrack though, but the game folders do not provide titles for the songs, only functional designations (e.g "Quiet 1" or "Battle 7") I was wondering if the pieces had actual titles, and what they are?
That's very interesting, though I really doubt Ironclad will do anything with it. If we did have a robot race we'd pretty much have the Sci-Fi Collection. Good regular humans, ancient race that enslaves everyone, religious nuts, and the only thing missing is robots. However, why do the robots need only metal and antimatter? Crystal is very important for conducting energy. I can hardly see a robot race being built without any crystal at all.
Mansh00ter, did I just see a Sova carrier be destroyed....and sink? No, forget sink, did I just see it fall? So much for physics.

On the contrary, the game atmosphere is very important. Destroying the threats to your empire and protecting your people is serious business. I think comments about multiplayer might break that. Though I would like a slightly more talkative AI. And I'd like them to not say "You can kiss Nausicaa goodbye" whenever a single flak frigate passes through...
"Do you know can play online against human opponents in free-for-al, team play and comp stomp matches? It is more challenging, more fun and you make friends." As someone who prefers single player, I respectfully disagree. Also, ranking systems are evil and put the focus on winning over fun. Adding a grapeshot of little advertisements that try to make me do something I don't want to do and that never go away would be terrible. AI t

Cykur, Fraps (and perhaps some other video software) allows you to disable displaying the cursor in the recording.
If you change your player name, you can still load your old saved games. But, atleast in single player, the game will still use the name you started with for that game. I assume multiplayer is no different.
For the research question: Not that I know of, except deleting the que and starting them in a differrent order. (No effect on your current research, but can be a lot of work) When I use cinematic mode, the ownership icons disappear. Try switching some other options.
I usually go for "Empire of Stars". Dominating enough for the Vasari, mysterious enough for the Advent, and the TEC doesn't exclude empires so that's good too.
i think it would be interesting to see a way in which you could choose a government form such as dictatorial, theocratic (mostlikely for the advent) republic, etc. And witht that the constant threat that there might be a civil war of some kind or other political consiquences. Adding politics to the batch of things to do would be interesting. I like this idea. If advent get theocracy bonus, then I reckon Vasari would get dictatorial bonus
I'm rather fond of renaming my ships, though the default names are quite cool. What names do you use for your ships, and is it faction-dependant? Names I like to use for the TEC are: Collosus Prometheus Excalibur Victory Thermopylae (you gotta love those Spartans) Resolute Brotherhood Alliance Guardian Heracles <span sty
A small question about the drones: According to the screenshots, they go in straight lines. This doesn't really give the "Swarm" effect, though. Is it possible perhaps to make them circle their target like the missiles of the Marza?
Ctrl+Shift+Z will remove the HUD. Entering cinematic mode will remove infocards and faction marks so you can get full-screen perfectly clean films. There are many programs for making videos, and I advise Fraps. The trial version has many limitations though, and I think that just won't do. If you don't mind going to the wrong side of the law, you might want to research into that but I'm not gonna help you with that.
Well I don't think it is unreasonable to assume that earth is one of the central worlds of trader space. I think it's not owned as such by any part of the TEC, as the frontier worlds are, but is rather property of all of humanity. Being in the very center, it wouldn't be in major danger of Vasari or Advent attack....yet. The Vasari will be content if they can begin their next phase of the Exodus. The Advent, however, would love to wipe out Earth.
