I made sure I hit the surrender button. I actually liked the guys I was playing against. We played one game, 3 v 3. Where i had two teammates, the first quit at three planets as I was backing him up and trying to fight off the other players. My third teammate was afk for 30 minutes after taking a roid. We agreed that I had no chance, and started another game. Second game, 3 v3, my first teammate is getting smashed, so I am trying to send the small-ish fleet I have to help him,

I know I finally got a chance to get on. Won even. Was terrible, the only reason I did was because I played someone just as bad as me and their connection sucked. Edit: I just RQ'd out of a game. I am sorry but it happened, I just had a teammate who was afk the first game, promised hed be better, then played sim up in a corner while the other 2 of us got rolled. Oh my god I am angry. So it might be less of "fear" and more of a "hatred" 3 games, none sucessfully finished and at
Yes, thats right, I finally dipped my toe into actually competitive gameplay. I blew. Hard. and despite not being avle to scroll or zoon (frustrating for sure) i won... due to lag I think. I think I would have won regardless, but it wouldnt have been a vrey pretty game. DS, arent you proud?
Allegiance, I feel another one of our "definititions of military tactics and units" arguements coming on [e digicons][/e] I know what a skirmisher is. And yeah, I agree that spamming is no good. But even then, a skirmisher would cost a ton less, be faster, be weak as hell, use less fleet capacity and do exactly what i was talking about. Blammo tons of them, they wipe out some weaker units or really damage something... kinda get wiped out running away (but
Would be nice, but seems really unnecessary. A lot of work for a very small problem.
Except then you have to level your ship to correct it. Which might be a problem if you cant pay for it because you cant colonize if you picked gravity warhead. Its not major, but it can be irritating.
Okay, try #2 since the forum doesn't like me. On the box descriptions are a bit flawed. And no one uses the Antorak unless its a big map, they are dominating, or they know how to micro the ever living piss out of it so it doesnt get blown up by a stray piece of dust. And yes, Vasari, after a long expensive series of techs, can jump all over the place. But thats mobility, and only helpful if when you get there, you can beat the fleet waiting. guerilla warfare would incl
Agree. I have been known to hit gravity bomb instead of nano... the beer has nothing to do with this.... [e digicons]k1[/e]
^^ I agree. Vasari have a major movement bonus with pahse gate tech, cannon jumps and that one capital ship that no one ever uses. But if they were going to be a "guerilla war" race then they would have things like extremely high dps, but very low hull or sheild. And that isn't the case. Or they would move faster in gw, and that isn't the case... or they would fire faster... and that isn't the case. Skirms are about as good at guerilla warfare as socks in a hamper.
you can travel, you just need to use the z-axis function. Most ppl. don't even know about it.
I have mine set up, and no. it still didnt work.
Skirmishers: yay for dps increase nay for command decrease yay for cost decrease (very slight) yay for autocast AI Vas Scouts (though it wasn't asked yet) yay for dps increase yay for command decrease nay for cost decrease
What about the random map generator that attaches one GW to another with a phase lane the goes stright up from the middle. Nothing can make that jump so whatever is trying just keeps ping ponging back and forth in the GW.
Also if you are playing Vasari you are reclaiming resources (I think that includes credits) when you destroy stuff. Also I know that "Drain Planet" gives you credits. I think both of these show up under this catagory.
Oh well Allegiance, at least it gives me something to do while I am counting down to quitting time.
^^ Unless you're compstomping when you are hungover.
I am pretty sure it isn't the first person, but the last person with bounty. If all the bounty is gone, they continue to go for the same mark over and over. I have had pirates attack the AI non stop for the game because no one was doing bounty. I may be wrong though (I dont think I am).
I can no longer use it unless its late in the game and I just don't care.
You're welcome. I believe there is a keyboard shortcut too, but I don't remember what it is.
^ that's why I am so excited, if true.
Thus the SP in paranthesis. Since there is no mention of what type of game he is playing (though in other posts he says he is working through the scenarios one by one), I answered with what I know.
(Real nations aren't really any different, either. It just takes them longer.)
and they dont go straight to the "blowing everything up" stage right away.
theres a button you can toggle on your HUD with an infinity symbol (sideways 8). Turn it off (grey). Now you can place yourself.
Holy effing nerd-gasm. I can appreciate a detailed arguement over the "facts" as well as SF, but I have to admit my eyes dried up there. to effectively bomb a planet: large rock pushed or accelerated on a course to intercept. adjust for gravity or "space kentucky windage." Booom! no slaves, but tons of a ranchland (in a few years).
You can take out anything with ONE capital ship, early game. (From Neutrals/militia/rebels). I have actually gone a few games where I have only used One cap the entire game (in SP).
For serious!?
I'd rather have Vasari scouts with both [e digicons][/e]
