I like "Sins of a Galactic Empire". Of course that means the scale of the game will be much larger, seeing as a trans-galactic war would be over such huge distances. The name has a nice ring. Thalatos: stfu. I also like the idea of a large expansion [e digicons][/e] but i know better than to hold my breath.

This kind of thing happens a lot in the noobs only/welcome servers for counter strike. Some of the hardest matches I have ever played have been in these servers while i showing some kids hiding places, how to aim for recoil and all that crap. it was such a CF (cluster F). I hate when people do this. For FPS it works out that someone wins, and the game is over relatively quickly, for RTS it takes a while to understand youve been had. I am waiting for a free weekend in order to get onli
I actually had this problem last night, while I was compstomping and doing laundry. i worked around it though. However, I dont think it would be a good idea, considering you cant do the same for planets.
NO. Nada. I refuse to play any that requires a monthly fee. Also I feel that things start to suffer in playability when space games veer away from fps, rts, or turnbased strat. and the only one of those that works very well with more than 10 players is fps.

I was playing a game where someone was attacking a teamate, but I really couldn't help in many ways because I was defending myself....but I didn't need my Marauder I made so I ran him over to the production planet of his foe. Let's just say it reaaaaally pissed him off when I subverted 2 planets with 2 factories each Granted, I likely would have lost if I fought h

So many misunderstandings occur from people not appreciating the significance of semantics.
the "communication age" at its best.. arguing on forums. I was thinking this morning of a reverse faction. the general gist is this (and yes this has ALSO been done before...): a race that for whatever reason stumbled back in time (phase jumping from a star going nova maybe, who knows) and end up in the sins universe/galaxy/whatever. they are massively ahead of the other three races in technology, but consist of only a fleet, with few or no civillians. Thus they have military power to expand, but no manufacturing or population to hold/defen
I thought my pictures at the very least were representative of the points I was trying to make (both of which were of military items and on point). Both of which points I did make. As to being an ass; whatever, you said something wrong, I called you on it. If that isn't what you meant I couldn't pick that out of what you said. Regardless, I agree with you (after you clarified between military and commercial logos), you aren't going to see a Ford oval on a Military vehicle. Much less n
Man, you guys are totally bumming me out about my preferred race. When I get a free weekend, I need to get online and see how badly I fail (and i will) to see what you are talking about. Compstomping is super easy with Vasari... and probably all of the races it seems.
nope not at all. but its a pretty sweet thought.

Which really, and I know you know, this certainly I have said enough, is a doggone shame.
are you playing online? or single player? or LAN against the AI or your friends?
yeah this one is all funky, i cant edit or quote or anything. well, if this game were real, the maps would be huger, the distance also. the fact that now we have 50 planets around one sun is kind of off putting too. also the distance between ships would be massive, and the invisiblity at range due to vast distance and lack of FTL sensors. big difference. i dont think we are ready for that yet...
my theory was that the space navy would be so huge, that any planetary forces would be puny in comparison, and would have to combine in order to compete for resources with the navy. i do agree with the second half though
this doesn't quite work out though either. if we assume that these ships are realy only carrying a few thousand crewmembers each (for capitals) then we are looking at a fleet that masses a few thousand people. the damage and weapon
africa is in its present state due to a lot of factors, i was creating an example. and yes, i know our technological growth has been stunted by both politics and fears. we are in a tech boom wherein most new developments are being put out there fast enough, or publically enough that it is showing us how far we could have gone. and presently it is abslotue death for companies to appear that they arent moving forward far enough or fast enough. a lot of the itme this means that people ar

I disagree. People who ephasize "returning the planet to its natural state" or anything along those lines are self hating humans. Technology and restraint will go far to keep us from overtly destroying the planet, but an over zealous approach will have us limiting our growth as well as limiting our development. renewable and reusable, mixed with progressive reasearch and devolopment will do us much better as a species and a planet than all the "save the whales" greenpeacers combined.<
