Both R8 and R9 are compatible with patch v1.82 They are not compatible with v1.83 which is an opt-in patch and is still a beta (as far as I am aware). Patch v1.83 has some bugs ... On checking the forums I have noticed that patch v1.84 was released today (dated 14th June) https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/478079/page/1/ ... so I have some work ahead of me

Hi aliberk15, As far as I know it is not just a matter of separating the various races. Several files would have to be altered. You can ask "Zombie" if he would like to do. As I told him before he is welcome to any of my content for his mods. I also think it was his intention to combine various mods in this way. What time I have is spent on an expansion version of my mod ...

It has been a long time since I did the modelling for the new races ... I can't exactly remember my reasoning for making then larger ... possibly in giving the TA frigates some advantages (i.e larger hulls)
, if any thought has been put towards making all of the races modular as their own separate mod to reduce the total ram footprint
Firstly, I like to keep it simple ... the fundamental idea, of the mod, was to double the assets in the game, i.e races, planets, etc Secondly, the 3 new players RAM footprints are quite small as I reuse the textures from the original races ... models and audio excluded Also,

I have been caught up in RL in combination with taking a break ... One other thing ... I did see your request "I'd Like To Have A Few Permissions Regarding The Mod ._. " which was a little cryptic and thought I would wait for more information (which I have now) Nevertheless, you are welcome to use 'Some Of The Asserts From Maelstom Mod' ... good luck
Obviously I cannot say what Maelstrom might think, but in general he's a pretty cool guy, and we greatly respect each other's mods. So I would definitely PM him, and I think you'll find this little project will get much more use if you do it WITH our permission.
I agree with GoaFan77 ... no problems with you using my mod, especially if it helps create more interest in Sins

I use the windows firewall and for virus I use avg (free version). The RAM testing with the 4GB patch (LAA) was extensive and was related to the discussion https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/454494/page/1/#3470508 I had all my graphics effects settings at highest and my system was stable to around 2GB ... I ran it till it crashed, and the crash point was fairly consistent. It might be subtly
It's not a hardware issue or a Windows issue.
From the information you have given me ... the only issue is why the 4GB patch does not work for you. As I said crashes at around 1.7GB is typically what I see ... my assumption is that steam also reserves some of the 2GB RAM of Sins My System is as follows: OS is Win 7 64-bit pro, 8GB RAM, Intel i7-2600 @3.4GHz. Graphics is AMD Radeo
The game seems to crash when it uses ~1.7Gb of RAM.
That is the same for me ... I have noticed this since Sins has moved to steam. Prior to this it crashed at about 1.9GB. You can try the 4GB patch which comes with the mod ... I have tested this up to 2GB's. I By the way I have Windows 7 pro 64 bit. If you have a 64 bit OS then the 4GB patch (LAA) should work ... again up to 2GB. No one has rep

The developers have added a Random resource boom which will crash the mod ... at least some temporary stability can be had by disabling random events. Currently working on upgrade for 1.82 patch

Have been testing Rebellion (Malestrom) 1.82 with the "4GB patch". Random Huge and Vast maps, 10 players, highest settings for all graphics effects. Whereas normally Rebellion (without the patch) would crash around 1.7GB RAM usage with the '4GB patch' I can get stable operation to about 1.95 GB. I have had RAM usage peak just above 2GB before a crash. PS: My System is as follows: OS is Win 7 64-bit pro, 8GB RAM, Intel i7-2600 @3.4GHz. Graphics is AMD Radeon HD
