Quick question. Is maelstrom compatible with other mods? And if so, what are some examples? Thanks!
No it is not compatible ... though I have integrated into Maelstrom two additional mods, The Sins Optimization Project (TSOP) and Bailknight`s Graphic Mod
Installation instructions are included in the mod download ... see .zip file in the top most folder
For those that are interested .... Maelstrom has been updated to the latest 1.8 patch for Rebellion and is compatible with the new Stellar Phenomena DLC.
Quoting UnleashedElf, reply 1573 Still, it's pretty good that Ironclad/Stardock are updating still. At least it means that there's ample development going on. Eh.. far moreso Stardock than IC. IC has been too busy making their upcoming failed endeavor (it will in a MOBA market flooded with LOL and DOTA) Sins of a Dark Age. Rebellion has been primarily a Stardock Entertainment game then, and will be in the future.
Any news (timeline) about the update to the new patch?
Next week or two ... Busy with other projects. Still have not finished the Pirate Factions and undecided as to whether to release a 'demo' version of the pirates in the R7 Rebellion release.

Thanks for the info ... time to get busy again!
The DLCs should not break the game if the modder is careful when updating the game (which I'm sure Maelstrom is). However the 1.8 patch that was released for Stellar Phenomena does break every single mod with new races, so I'm afraid that does mean you (and everyone else) won't be able to play this mod until Maelstrom releases an update.
Thanks for the clarification GoaFan77.
Quick question, they just released new content - Stellar Phenomena, will this mean that the new content will break compatibility if I get it?
As far as I am aware ... DLC's do not break the game if you do not have it/them.
Also, were black holes meant to destroy trade ships? They seem to be killing them right now.
Yes, no ... maybe
