I'm very tired of carrier capitals, all of them exploit the hole that their strikecraft don't need antimatter, so they don't 'pay' for poor play. Zombie bombers is just the worst case, where the hole is exploited so much that it completely distorts the game. However the Halcyon is nearly as bad, especially after the extra squadrons rather than extra strikecraft in a squadron change, that was a dumb down option. As th

The Diplomacy opening theme is TEC3.ogg, not the Opening Theme.ogg, in the sound folder.
The Kol needs a DPS boost, GRG to negate shields (But lower damage output and remove the debuff), Adaptive Forcefield as a passive (With lower damage reduction, but keep phase missile negation), and it'll be fine. For the Sova, I'd think having Rapid Manufacturing instantly replace SC for all carriers in a short distance of the Sova would help enormously. Especially considering that TEC currently has no SC support abilities, and this would give the Sova late-game use and act

Neither of the races have much reason to use any caps other than carriers, the Progen, Akkan, Kortul, and possibly the Egg. Every other cap is either too underpowered or situation to be viable. The Sova Carrier is by far, my favorite capital ship in the game. And favorite fictional spacecraft. ^_^ I've been using it since day one, and loved it before the buff. ^_^ The Akkan is also great to use by level six, and the Antorak Marauder is pretty fun to run. ^_^
The last game would be Sins of a Solar Empire. I saw it for $20, and immediately bought it. Best twenty spent on a game. ^_^ Incedentially, it was the last PC game I've bought.
The Akkan Battlecruiser or Sova Carrier. The Akkan is a fantastic starting cap, because its Colonize gives multiple free extractors and a nice income boost. Starting with an Akkan gives TEC a great starting economy. For combat, Sovas are the overall strongest TEC cap. Three Bombers, Missi
Never build Kols. They're completely atrocious and offer nothing useful to a fleet for their costs. Otherwise, you need many more Hoshiko Robotics Cruisers. I'd say about at least 25% of any TEC fleet should be Hoshis. LRMs and Gardas are also essential for dealing damage and killing off SC/LRF quickly.

Flak kills fighters far faster than LF can kill flak, though. :/
It's a nice chart, but technically, Scouts and Colony Frigates 'counter' LRF by dealing anti-light damage. Support Cruisers also counter themselves.
You need to scout. Before making an attack, send a scout to check what your enemy has. By doing this, you can build and increase your fleet with the appropriate counters. This is essential in breaking a stalemate, because destroying an enemy's huge fleet virtually guarantees victory. Otherwise, micromanage capital ship abilities. Many abilities are best used during a certain part of the battle, like Shield Restore when a capital has lost its shields. Turn off autocast for capital ship
Bombers can be countered late game by abilities like jam weapons and telekinetic push. Once again, I think the problem here is more with TEC (flak burst doesn't do the job well enough...) and in the early game before fighters can be brought out in larger swarms as a counter. So again, I don't think we want to nerf bombers directly; let's focus on other things like buffing flak burst to compete with TK push and Jam Weapons, a

That's why I also suggested a damage nerf and removal of the speed break. GRG is already a forward-facing ability, and it's high cost would mean that using GRG more than a few times during the same battle is unlikely. Dealing a flat 250/500/750 doesn'
I'm not entirely sure what to do with Animosity, and don't bother with Advent anyways, so I have no comments. For GRG, the idea of adding several debuffs sounds fine, and so does armor-breaking. However, I do think that simply making GRG do direct hull-damage would be the best course of action. So removing the speed debuff and reducing damage to 250/500/750 would be appropriate in this case. Then at least the Kol becomes a nice cap-killer and complemnts TEC's simple abilities. <p
Diplomacy space pirates. And soon, TEC and Advent will be on the run as well.
Four abilities that really need help are: Gauss Rail Gun Flak Burst Adaptive Forcefield Finest Hour Actually, Shield Restore got buffed, not nerfed. The amount of shields restored was decreased, but so did the cooldown. And TEC ships have low enough shields that the 250/500/750 should be sufficient. With the Dunov as a whole, it has pretty good abilities, but is just overshadowed by the Sova, Akkan, and Marza. EMP Charge deals good damage, but Missile B
Your planet is being affected by enemy culture. Check the nearby phase lines' color. If it's an enemy color, it's under the effects of enemy culture. Build a Brodcast Center (Media Hub for Vasari, Temple of Communion for Advent) on one of your planets, and have your capital ships on your HW. These both reduce the effect of enemy culture and promote your own.
Don't build a Kol Battleship. Ever. Also, don't research techs you won't be using or have little viable use in your current situation.

Having anything absolutely free just invites spams and reduces skill. That might give the other caps a chance again, if only at the cost of making the caps less powerful.
