Kols dont work I tried em.
The problem with that is, the Kol is an abject failure. It's completely worthless, and no ship in the game is nearly as bad as it. Even trying to use a Kol against anything is like shooting yourself in the leg. After this topic, I do think SB needs a slight nerf. Advent fighters are really weak (1 DPS per Fighter), but it's getting ridiculous that there aren't any real options other than pure

I do like Zoomer's idea of making feed research require three of any labs. I think researching feed is fine, but currently the higher requirements mean that the surrounded ally is essentially screwed. Alternatively, the option for 'fixed' positions would enormously help. In Age Of Empires, you can set teams so that they are all located near each-other. It'd be fantastic for SOASE, and likely end map-screwings. ^_^
A gg is whenever I beat my opponent with massed flak. ^_^ But seriously, a real good game is exactly what Darvin described; one that is unique and climatic. One particular example I can think of was a match last patch, where one of my enemies (One of Siddy's smurfs, I think), built 7 Halcyons and a Rapture and ended with us in a huge SC battle involving hundreds of Bombers. And preferably involves enormous amounts of flak. ^_^
If you're going to use Cielos, you have to get a least six military labs for Designate Target. Embolden is decent, but the real reason to use the ship is for Designate Target. And even that's main purpose is to take down Starbases and caps. The damage increase is enormous. Otherwise, the Cielo isn't very useful. You won't even need more than 8-10 late-game, unlike Hoshis which are completely incredible ^_^
one thing i would like is the beam pact be changed to a laser pact. That way it doesnt only affect caps and SBs if you are not Advent. Maybe for Vas pulse guns could be upgraded by the laser pact. Right now Beam pact sucks, unless you are another advent player. And there should be some diversity in who you give pacts to. [_]-Uber
I'm not sure if that'd actually help a lot. Advent obvio
I actually like the vanilla menu theme. I liked it so much I swapped the files so it's the menu theme of Entrenchment.
Did the exact same thing. Especally since the Entrenchment theme isn't very good. I really like Battles 8 and 9, the Upbeats, and the TEC Theme. I actually had the TEC Theme replace the menu theme for a while. ^_^
Some musics arent used (battle3 and 4 and some that i dont remeber)
Battles 3, 4, 5 (I think Battle 5), TEC 4, and TEC Opening are not used in the game.
If it's anything like the original boxed gold edition, I'd assume it would include a music CD and a poster. ^_^
I wonder if a Dunov might work against dual-Skirantras. EMP Charge kills antimatter and Magnetize completely disables abilities. So if a level 3 Dunov and Sova w/ Heavy SC just might be able to keep at least one Skirantra completely unable to use SB, and both with depleted antimatter. Besdies, Skirantras have the worst DPS of any ship in the game (21 DPS, ten of that side-firing), so they wouldn't be a threat with their Bombers neutralized.
Hoshikos are just about essential for any TEC fleet. Try to get them as soon as possible. Getting LRMs and Kodies is necessary. In addition, TEC flak are arguably the best in the game- they have enormous durability and kill fighters and LRF quickly.
The best bet is using massed LF. They're the only early-game unit capable of killing flak quickly, and SC don't get damage bonses against them. Also, having a carrier cap would be extremely helpful. Build Fighters and micromanage them away from the flak, but towards the bombers (Which are presumably attacking your carrier cap).
What if the pirates are the menace chasing the Vasari? ;) They've just been acting stupid to get the Vasari into a major war, than bam! XD
If there was a new expansion, I would think that increasing military technology would be the way to go, not super-weapons or that type of additions. Some extra capitals would always be nice. In particular, I really would like some strikecraft upgrades. Some ideas for SC upgrades are below, as are an idea for new capitals. Squadron Coordinaton (Tier 5, TEC)- Advanced strikecraft command training is intitiated, resulting in superior strike teams. Increases damage output of all strikecra
Online Diplomacy is a lot more fun than Entrenchment. The increased speed settings are very nice, and pacts give the eco spot a lot more use other than simply feeding. Diplomacy mkes eco starts a lot more viable now.
Best portrait yet. ^_^ He looks absolutely incredible.
Chuck Norris has successfully bombed and colonized stars.
Pepsi products have far more flavor than Coke counterparts. I'll admit that Coca-Cola beats Pepsi, but every other soda product, Pepsi dominates. Especially in diet sodas, where Diet Pepsi has its own distinctive flavor, while Diet Coke is flat and unappealing. Also, Pepsi has Mountan Dew. ;) I only drink diet sodas, so Pepsi is easily the superior in my eyes. ^_^
Neither...Dr. Pepper all the way
Depends on t
The Neruda's Worthy Cause ability is reason enough to use it. I didn't really look much at the other two, but the Vortuntak's Grant Amnesty might be worth looking at.
While this may be a minor issue, but rather weakening for TEC. Out of all the envoy cruisers (And the Talion Savior), TEC's Raloz and Neruda ships lack shields. This would be a virtually nonexistant problem, but neither get shield migitation. Is there any reason that they don't have shields? It makes the Raloz and Neruda far less durable then their counterparts.
And yet they averaged what, half or less the lifetime of modern humans?
Which was mainly due to lack of sanitation, predation, childbirth, or early child death. As Myles said. ^_^ Though really, I don't see how this is so ridiculous. It's not like they're hurting anyone, correct?
A Diplomacy replay. It's a pretty interesting 3v3, and gives good demonstration of pacts. ^_^ EDIT: Link removed due to minidump.
The rulers of the Advent are called the Coalescence (that is singular, there is no known plural for it. some say Coalesci). The Coalescence are all female. However, that doesn't say that a man might not be influential in Advent society either, he's just not Coalesci.
Women dominate the Coalescene, but that doesn't mean that they entirely control it. It's possible that some Advent men could have the psionic powers
The one thing I'm worried about is that even though illums are reduced in dominance, LRF spam in general is still alive and kicking.
LRF spam is still the dominant strategy. Advent Illum spam is obvious even with the nerf, and Vasari have literally no options other than the Assailant for a good part of the game. I've noticed TEC players tend to not have as much LRF spam- sometimes you'll see nothing but an Akkan and 40 Ja
I've played a number of games for the latest patch, using TEC and Vasari. All I can really say is that Navigators are completely worthless in combat. Not even for clearing sieges. I had five try to kill a militia siege- they really can't even kill one efficiently! Fixing the Ilum bug is nice, though. ^_^
Sorry if this is the wrong board, not sure if it's apporpriate posting this topic here. Anyways, I've been trying to purchase Diplomacy on Impulse. Everything goes smoothly until I actually place the order. A pop-up asking to display only encripted information comes up, and regardless of the answer, the store page says that there was a problem loading the page, so I can't finish my purchase. I've tried this on IE, Firefox, and Impulse, but the same issue appears. Any help
