Filterforge is a good tool to look for if you can't find textures you can use. I use that for some of my stuff.
How many of those tier 1 modders are active?
I'm active. Kind of. Won't say what for though.
Major Stress > To me, there are two types of modders. Those with aspirations and those without. Those with aspirations succeed, those without aspirations don't. Any skillset can be acquired by someone with aspirations. I've had a few developers try to pick me up but I declined all of them.
I am tier 69. Why? Because John Madden.
It's hot as hell here in Canada and you couldn't pay me to step outside. I think I go outside maybe once every 5-6 months at most, and only to scare the kids off my lawn with my 12 gauge.
Depression and lethargy exclusively.
No. The particles will just be more pixelated since there is less texture information to stretch across their plane.
Extremely early WIP. A new XY ship.

You are not the only person who is interested. I have plans, you see. And it's good to hear those plans will be able to move forward.
Thank you very much for posting this, it will speed up my efforts greatly when it comes to updating my project.
Gameplay.Constants an entity file in gameinfo. I fully support the reverse engineering of the game to expose the AI, but unfortunately I am no programmer and can offer no assistance other than warning that what you'll find inside the exe is probably a colossal mess given how badly the AI performs even mundane tasks like keeping its units together. Oh, and Blizzard is another company that lovingly hardcodes everything.
Well, I'm not arguing against the leak. I thought it was pretty cool we finally got to hear a lot of this stuff. Just that people became very reliant on it kind of spoiled it when it came to media production for the end user. And yeah, it encouraged a lot more publicity on the subject and the stuff is more open now. One of these days I want to amass a compendium of good artists and sources for music of different styles and such. I know of a great many. But there's many I don&
Well, when I first started listening to trailer music was when it first started getting leaked. That was when I was first entering video production as well. So, I watched, and participated in, a lot of video productions (say just gameplay videos) that would then all rely very heavily on this music. I wouldn't say it's necessarily bad on its own, if you consider it independently of this fact, but the leaks became more prominent and the usage exploded. Soon it was very hard to find such
Well, my world is a blend of scifi and fantasy, so it fits well in the context and prose I am aiming to achieve. I have this track you posted, too, in considerations for another project. My collection overall is around 1.5 terabytes now, so finding specific things to fit specific themes is an extremely time consuming and diligent process. That is why I am always looking for more. I was a musician at one point, a long time ago. I posted some of my material in my resource thread. I wasn
White Noise lab is not familiar, no; most of my musical research goes into stuff like ambient BM pieces, European/eastern folk, and other such things. I'm curious how you make all of this stuff fit together thematically. Truth be told, I was tempted to open a music design thread in the past, but figured no one was really interested in researching stuff any deeper than the typical X-ray dog and IM copy pasta. I would have linked some of the stuff I was using in Ep1 but it appears t
Personally I think trailer music is massively overused, along with all the general mainstream soundtracks (anything by Hans Zimmer, for example). I really can't even stomach hearing the stuff anymore, especially coming from a video producing perspective where it's literally next to impossible to find a video without trailer music or E.S. in it. I would love to hear some examples from the OP.
I tested this a while back and figured it had to do with either the AI pathing or the normal pathing. In either case, larger grav well sizes definitely lead to major performance hits.
Are you able to compare the text side-by-side in notepad? Maybe they added a couple of options. Might be best to do this with something very simple, like a bullet from Diplomacy and a (clearly modified) bullet from Rebellion. Or find something that crashes PF in Rebellion but not Diplomacy, and compare those two. If they added child particles I'd have a heart attack.
How are they different?
Some amazing work! Can I download some of these and try them in my game? Any links?
Nope.
I'm using a 6970 single GPU. It could be a driver issue I suppose. I'll fool around with those settings on my next test run and see if I can figure something out.
Hmm. I do see the shadow map pixels on the colony capital, and on the small turrets with the ragnarov, but certainly not as prominent as some of mine. I will have to investigate this issue very thoroughly if I am to proceed with my plans. I fear it will be unavoidable.
The Royal Family's Kraken-class is one of the older models, and the last one that is yet mangled by the Greeble plugin I used for detailing super old hulls. While its previous revision focused on the turrets, this one focused on rebuilding most of the hull, adding a new weapon (missile launchers), and fixing a lot of smoothing. The new version, complete with rebuilt Powergun turrets, is 6k quads smaller than the previous. My w
