Also theres a big possiblity that the planets directly linked to the star are entrenched with SBs as well so have your Bombers ready. Because eventually you will have to engage his starbases.

No Im just saying I dont agree with having individual ships decide wether they want to fight or not. That would be adding something to SINs that currently doesnt exist. Its the choice of the player wether he fights to the last ship or runs.
I always build about 4 to 5 Caps for each fleet or more to do the job. So a planet goes boom alot faster for me with Caps then Siege Frigs. But like it was said earlier. Siege Frigs just dont stand up to what Caps do, they kill planets and other ships aswell have abilities that help the fleet accomplish its purpose.
Eli is nothing like Jack. I laughed EVERYTIME Jack O'Neill came on screen. Eli is pathetic. His jokes arent funny. Everytime something happens he refers to some movie. Instead of actually making fun of the situation at hand like Jack would have done. Ba'al " You dare Mock me?" Jack " Of course I DARE Mock You" Come on, no one likes a geek that thinks hes funny but is not. The show is missing a huge part of the SG mechanics that make it so likeable. The sens
no your not noticing Advent are the strongest, your noticing the brute force of their units. Having tough units doesnt make them the strongest. Just the strongest units. This is exactly why so many cling to the Advent. They have upfront very combat ready units. But that doesnt make them the strongest. If anything the strongest race is the TEC as they have the funds to overcome the other two. But that still doesnt make them the BEST. No one is the BEST. They all have their strengths and weakne
I did mention earlier in the thread that you could set it up to have more then one GW so that you could utilize regrouping.
Well the loss of Daniel Jackson left a VERY big void in the show mechanics. They had to come up with something, might not of been the best. But the point was the Producers didnt intentionally push Shanks in the corner, just wanted to try and do something different with the show. Im surprised at how they summed everything up in season 8 with the annihalation of the Rogue NID, Vice President Mckensey, Anubis and how the Jaffa completely dropped all their beliefs almost over
I think this is just another "im going to bitch" thread. Seriously SB's are easily countered. I have yet to run into a SB I cant smash within minutes. The only thing it does tactically against my Fleet is tie up my Bombers while I have to engage either the enemy fleet or the static defenses. Either way SBs arent even worth complaining about considering there are more pressing issues within the game like the bugs that have been popping up, or the fact that MP needs more attention from the Devs
Its cheating because of the lack of firing canopy of certian static defense platforms like the TEC StarBase. By moving above it you are able to kill the SB without it being able to defend itself.
Well the killing off of Daniel Jackson wasnt by the choice of the Producers, Micheal Shanks wanted out. Simply because he felt his character was taking a backseat to Jack O'Neill and Sam as well as Gen. Hammond. In the 5th Season, Which he had a good point as SG1 changed its direction of the plot line. Thats exactly why Daniel had so much more screen time when he came back because he had it in the contract that they would better develop his character.
why is it a Capital is assumed to be the Envoy Cruiser? Cruisers are massive, maybe not the size of a Capital but the Capitals have good reason to be so large. A Envoy Cruiser wouldnt, and anyone trying to argue that the capabilities of the Envoys mean their Capitals are forgetting the TEC scouts, those things have almost as many abilities as a Capital. And there one of the smallest ships in the game.
I think it makes sense that the Seeder ships would put the SG's down on planets rich with necessities, but they wouldnt know which planet the Destiny would require at what time, so it would be a guess if that was the case, but putting it down on hospitable planets just makes sense as the Ancients would be also looking for a new home and planets to utilize resources for, inhospitable planets make for horrible resource locations as it means utilizing equipment specialized for those planets ie E
I dont think anything needs to be added or subtracted from ingame to Custom, I think it should be more of a proving ground where things are tested and improved on. Technically retreat wouldnt be an addon as its already an option in the Fleet menu. Just instead of it retreating to a safe GW itll retreat out of the map entirely so that you can end the match.
how are their scouts weak? they are the only scout ship that can actually take control of nuetrals.........the Orky, is the only SB that can move, The only faction that can jump from one planet to another without an actual phase lane. The only faction that can call in a albeit random fleet from no wheres by only paying for it, no waiting for all the ships to amass. And all I hear is how badass the Kortul and Jarrasul are. No ones going to be completely happy with the game, but i dont th
Even a 20k SB will fall within 5 minutes to a legion of bombers.
no my point is each faction has somekindof disadvantage or advantage over the others. Im willing to guess that the large difference between LF is for good reason. You guys might want to consider the other abilities of the Vasari at the time LF are the major workhorse in the game. That might give you an idea of why the Skirmishers are not up to par. Phase Stabilizers werent a direct comparision as much as an example of an overwhelming advantage.
double post.............stupid forums went boom.
I think all races take a heavy nerf in different things and the Vasari may not have a good LF but their abilities like Phase Stabilizers and RA give them a huge advantage when it comes to fighting the TEC and Advent. Just got to learn that somethings are worse off then others when it comes to equality of parrallel units.
yeah it was just something i was wondering, as for the Seeder ships, theres no telling when it was launched. Wouldnt be surprised if the Destiny comes across one of these Seeder ships dead in space, Allowing it to repair itself with the left over parts of the Seeder ship.
Even if they had a bubble theyd still be covered in rock, would just create a cavern around the Stargate as the bubble wouldnt be able to stop rock from building up just outside the bubble and eventually ontop of the bubble. But that was disproved in SG1 when they jumped through their StarGate and landed back on Earth in the south pole. The Stargate was wedged into ice on one side. While the other side was open to a cavern. You would think if there was a bubble forcefield there would be
ok, the Destiny wasnt meant to seed anything, its purpose was to give the ancients a vessel to move from the Milky Way to another Galaxy. One thing that is prevailant in the SG storyline is that the Ancients (regardless of their technological advancements) were always being chased off from one galaxy to the next by some rising threat that even they couldnt handle. Im guessing they wanted to use the Destiny to move to another galaxy from Earth. The Ancients werent putting stargates on
What I mean is, by the time your empire is capable of spending 50k or even 10k on a bounty because you expect it to create a lull in the fighting between you and your enemy, then your dissillusioned, if you have that much money to throw around, so does your enemy which means he probably has a large fleet and a very heavily fortified frontline. So the Pirates will do nothing to him other then notice "oh the pirates are at it again". That money is better spent on defenses and a better bala
Im just saying how outrageous it is sometimes the way people spend creds on bounty. that 50k came from one single AI enemy. Thats enough creds to build up a few planets or a replacement fleet for their loses.
Just remember when you bid, your building up the Pirates Defense Fleet, While a good sized fleet will knock a large Pirate Fleet out, if your not sure of your fleets size, you might want to reconsider how much you bid, as it will be collected on at some point. But at the same time, cant stop your enemies from bidding, once had 50k creds on my head.
i wouldnt count the Kol out, it is a devastating weapon in the TECs arsenal, and I have no clue about the cielo, I rarely pay attention to the starbase with my fleet in the same GW it can take care of itself as long as i take care of the anti structure units or SC.
