I was just going to say that Ryat about the SC. As for soft............you need to add atleast 1 dunov to your Cap count.(itll keep your Marzas alive) and A WHOLE lot of Hoshikos (turn off the demo bots so the Hoshis concentrate on healing and not killing.) The Hoshis will keep your Kodiaks and LRMs alive atleast the bulk of them. As for the Starbase....Well I usually go with just Fighters/Bombers Theyll drop a 20k HP SB in no time. Orgovs are great they will kill a SB in even le

First, TEC is referred too alot as the beginners choice..........that doesnt mean its the best choice for everyone. In the end play whatever side fits you best. Each have different strategies and tactics which fit better with different players. Second, An assailant rush is quite easy to counter. LFs and scouts will annhilate an assailant rush.
Antorak is NOT TEC it cant be used to defend your view of Network as the word.
I dont know about resupplying antimatter as I would imagine that would be reproduced in the ships Engine...But I can see supply ships for ordinance, food, gear, and personell to replace dead or severly injured crew. As of right now the ships seem to pull its ordinance out of thin air.............err space. also it be cool to see the actual crew population on a ship as when it takes heavy damage I can only imagine the majority of the crew is lost and the closer the HP gets to 0 the less and le
my only problem would be focus firing. as it makes sense that more ships shooting your one ship means its going to die. Other then that Id really like to see this kindof mod.
Im pretty sure the crew #'s on the manuels are stating what size a ship can carry at full capacity. Which include operational staff and whoever maybe extra for whatever reason............in the colony ships case its the actual colonists the colony ship is built to carry and deploy on ships.
HOW is Dreadnought and battleship speculation? Fleet? Cruiser? and so on? Ive never come across a tank called a Frigate, or a Air Force base called a Carrier................Those are Military terms. Used for Naval Vessels. As for the other branches............Id like to see where these other branches are mentioned? Cause According to all the Lore that Ive researched theres no mention of ground troops or an air force..........And like I said before which you seem to skip over I DO
then im confused because on one hand your saying the Colony ship shouldnt need that many crew............now your saying they do. The 500 isnt how many they need to operate the Engine.....or the Helm or any other duty onboard the ship. Its how many the ship can actually CARRY, including the operational crew.
Maybe your not understanding how Naval units work.............there is a minimum crew capacity that is needed to operate the vessel successfully and then there is a maximum crew capacity where the ship might take on refugees or fleeing troops from a planet that was abandoned. Thats what Volt means by neccessary. Are you forgetting that a colony ship drops PEOPLE onto planets? That means theyd be manned by a larger number then others. Look at the Akkan. Its crewed by twice as many as s
um okay. i guess the Frigates (a naval term) a crusier (a naval term) a battlecrusier (a naval term) a battleship (a naval term) a dreadnought ( a naval term) Fleet (a traditionally naval term) doesnt stand as evidence of what the N is then. But the make believe Fanfic Marines, Army and Air Force does................................................
your forgetting that ships like the HC and such have to carry ordinance.....That takes up alot of room (while in sins that doesnt matter because there is no resupply) it makes sense that a colony ship with no defensive abilities other then shields would have much more room for a crew compared to a HC. Not only that but the HC is only 25 personell short of the Colony Frigate. Not that big of a differance. As for the scout........I always thought the crew of a Scout were lucky bastards,
I dont think Nuclear explosions big enough to see from orbit is very picky on who it kills and what it destroys........Killing everyone is an easier way to explain why the population bar hits zero and HP as well. Also the idea there are alot more inhabitants then what is counted means your not getting all of your creds from the taxes..........that would piss me off. As for colonizing a planet after its been nuked..........well its a game and to expediate the game so you can get your cred
i wonder if they have great vision or they all need glasses(aka nanite upgrades)
again..................theres zero evidence that an Army, Air Force, or Marines exist. Im not argueing Network isnt possible............Im arguing your reasoning for why its network is flawed.
they have made it clear their not done with SoaSE just done with micro expansions.
because there is no representation of any other branches, The closest you get to ground troops is on the Vasari side, the shocktroops which are only referred to once. While I whole heartedly believe there are other branches....This game doesnt even try to refer to them when it comes to TEC. So the idea that the N in TDN means network because the TEC use it to describe ALL the branches to me isnt a good enough arguement.......now if you said well the fact that you can detect incoming enemy up
I think your trying to build on something thats nothing more then a simple military acronym to allow others to identify the ships loyalty.
Exactly so why would TDN be used to refer to ALL the branches of the TEC if its only an acronym found on Capital ships. If TDN refers to the TEC military as a whole it be on everything. Just like if you look at the US Army, Russian Army etc etc everything they operate down to their nametags on uniforms has the Branch they belong to. If Everything is crammed into 1 Military Branch it be the same deal and TDN would be found on alot of other things. I can accept TDN being Trader Defense Network
they dont have all the BIG guns and and cool military technology to get in the way. the Combat vessels would be fore effeciency and much of its space would be taken up for different devices needed to operate the vessel in combat conditions........if you look at ICV's (Infantry Carrier Vehicles) the military use today. The soldiers are crammed into small spaces in a very LARGE vehicle because devices like NBC gear, computers, large engines, and emergency repair tools take up much of the s
thats what broadcast centers are for.............they either increase your allegiance or they cause your enemy to lose his and you lose your planet to rebellion. This isnt the real world. Im sure your civilians would rather you bomb EVERY last Vasari world then let them live to fight another day and BOMB your planet and inhabit it.
when you create maps in map designer you can adjust phase space lanes so that they are very long distances and can take a very good amount of time to get from one GW to another. Made that mistake once before creating a map.........ended up losing a good number of planets because the Phase lanes took too long to traverse when seconds counted.
Ill tell you exactly why TDN doesnt refer to anything but the ships...........You dont see it on anything else.............. not even the BIG STARBASES that you are allowed to name. Even the frigates dont have TDN infront of it..............The TEC Siege Frigate has TEC tattooed on its backside, not TDN....If TDN was such a profound part of TEC descriptions it be in more locations then just the Capital ships...........It be stamped on the HangerBays and Gauss Cannons.......As well as the Star
Planetary battles are obselete in SINs if you didnt notice Planetary bombardment causes all life on a planet to die. Also from what I can tell Planets like Volcanic Planets dont have structures on the surface (as its too inhospitable). The pics from the Game Loading Screen obviously shows floating structures far above the surface. Meaning if it gets hit by a nuke........not only is it going to blow up but what ever is left of it and its inhabitants are going to fall to their deaths. Very rare
well just look at the planets in our solar system.........It takes Venus 243 Earth days just to complete 1 day, Mars is just alittle longer then an Earths day. Jupitar takes 9.8 Earth Hours to complete 1 day but 11.86 Earth years to complete one rotation around the sun. Considering how fast we can build ships, and how fast the Planets rotate 360 degrees.. Its pretty obvious from our standpoint, time passes much faster for SINs (even though its only to have you playing a game a few hou
Theres no reference to a network in any of the lore. They do refer to Defense Forces..........so i doubt they refer to their military as a Defense Network.
