Division is a Army term....... Strike Force..........not saying it doesnt exist outside the US Military Structuring..........but it sounds made up..but thats ok cause this game has a lot of stuff made up..so im not gonna argue that. Task Force would probably be the closest to a term used by Navies. Ill break down the US Navy Structuring. FLEET ( Commanded by Four Star Admirals) Atlantic Fleet (LANTFLT)</

then ask for the AI to be improved, hindering the player isnt going to make the AI any more interesting. People will just go back to the old ways they kept the AI at bay. Also I have to disagree with you on the AI While everyone talks about the AI throwing itself against SB's. I have yet to see this on a constant basis. Both Pirates and AI faction both attempt to bipass. With about 5-6 actual ships getting by and assaulting a heavily fortified position. Usually the AI is stupi

at the same time lack of nerves brings risk of dying because the extent of internal injuries is unknown unless the individual gets checked out. Id say because they are a highly evolved form of Insect they would have nerves, but not with the extent of ours. Their pain threshold would be very high and at times deathblows to a human wouldnt phase a Vasari Warrior.

UH I know that. Im saying that Ive never had the need to demolish my cap factory even under stress of defeat. if your gonna try to correct someone. please read the post and not skim through it.

killing just their defense fleet is not the answer..........they will still produce a strike fleet that will still attack. by eliminating the Pirates you eliminate a speed bump as the bigger your fleet gets the bigger the Pirate fleet gets. With the Pirates out of the picture you can youll be able to focus 100% of your resources on the enemy.

Actually I cant remember where I read it but scientists associated with NASA is looking into WarpDrives inspired by Star Trek because the idea of manipulating space is very plausible and while the government doesnt put enough money into NASA if NASA had the funds. I bet we'd be looking at WarpDrive in the next 30-50 years. Also the fact that Rush is being given so much freedom even though he has no consideration for the lives of those around him and is willing to throw their lives to

Ive never had to demolish a cap factory. While Ive had the AI push me back severly and hold me at only 4 or 5 planetoids Ive never been forced to rework my logistic slots to give up an essential part of my fleet. I can go without a cielo or a kodiak for a bit. But I cant go without my ability to produce capitals. Its my priority to put Capitals on station and be able to hold back the enemy.

Not all of those ships were added in because of the Vasari. Its already known that there was some kindof Defensive Force that protected individual worlds from Pirates. Also If your going to use Network........Then why use the word Fleet? Fleets imply a Navy not a Network. Why not Task Force? or Strike Force?........which actually would go along better (in my opinion) with a Network. A Fleet goes with the idea of a Navy.

i was just thinking the same thing. but they would probably lay between 5-10 eggs with a natural 30% fail rate, but with nanites they could probably drop that percentage down to less then 1%. Look at cockroaches they pretty much extend their bodies to create a sack to hold their eggs. Infact many insects........if thats what were going to compare the Vasari to produced some kindof sack that is not a natural part of them prior to insemination.

if Network was used to describe anything in the TEC arsenal it would be their SB's, Hanger Bays, and Defensive Platforms. That would be a network moreso then the actual Fleets.

Why is there so much oposition against SB's? I actually only play entrenchment now because prior to the expansion. Vanilla just seemed to miss something. I will admit the AI needs work, while it so far has just bipassed my SBs when I put them on my Star with medium sized fleets (most of which get cut down by my strikecraft and my Rear Defense Fleet). It seems to backoff when I finally establish SBs on the AI's Star. Only tradeships and a few enemy units try to slip past my SBs which rarely ge

the guy was just looking for people to agree that he should just be able to steamroll the enemy without a fight. its not fair if the AI can destroy his ships if hes arrogant enough to throw an entire fleet against a fully upgraded starbase........cause SC killing a starbase just isnt cool enough.

well they probably started out with male and females but with harsh conditions on their planet and space travel they would have evolved towards Asexuality as cloning would have made females obselete. I whole heartedly believe not all Vasari clone themselves but decide to reproduce as on a basic instinctual level some would still have the drive to reproduce.

Ive never had this issue............The AI always tries to bipass my SB's, rarely do they actually suicide attack one of my starbases. If anything I have an issue with the AI building SB's in every gravity well which does nothing but slow me down (never stops me in my tracks or paralyzes my Fleet)......I rarely lose anything but a few dozen SC during my assualt on a enemy gravity well. That and the AI has a very limited strategy. Even if its Fleet makeup is close to mine it will route soon as

If were gonna break this arguement down to bigger texts.........then I win. but if were going to actually make an arguement for either Navy or Network...........Please lets see some remarks that fit. TRADER DEFENSE NAVY..........FTW.

actually I played Rome:Total War heavily a few years ago, and just recently got the Medieval 2 version and while playing the Custom battle I started thinking..............Damn I wish I could do this with SINs.

makes sense as well as if they were on the run for 10,000 years it be alot easier to jump to a planet. suck it dry from the atmosphere and get out of there without having to stop for years at a time everytime they need a resupply.
