No mod could do exactly what Stardock has done with this. They've added a lot of new modifiers and things under the hood, and the planet specialization thing is something totally new. Yeah the old Sins plus mod had oceanic planets, but they basically behaved as Ice or Terran plan
v1.50 is now released. DLC store items should be going up soon on our store (sometime in the near future on Steam).
Steam just updated it for me, anxiously awaiting the DLC going up now.

I've been a sins player for a long time and have had rebellion since the betas, but I have never done any MP, and probably would suck at it. I am also aware of the ICO issues with noobs, and so am wondering what the best way is to start and learn to play against other people is. Does anyone have good advice for a noob MP player (but someone who understands the game mechanics well)?
Now that think about it, I remember in Diplomacy they had an update it that reduced lag greatly. (it was still there, though) Shouldn't it be possible to deal with it again in Rebellion? Since the lag seems to be back to...erm, "normal". lol
The big lag reducer I remember as being Rebellion 0.90 (Beta 3), which literally doubled the speed of late games on my old PC.
There may be some optimizations, but as Lavo mentioned the core issue of Sins not using all of your processor is a hard technical limitation. That said, most graphics options do not really affect the CPU. The setting changes you want to make are things like hiding trade ship icons, stacking units in the Empire tree or just hiding as much stuff on the Empire tree as possible. It's the number of different stuff the game has to render and k
I've played a lot with Rebellion 1.1 and while I took a break for a while I just came back and am excited to see the 1.5 patch being actively developed. I just have one concern, and that is the speed of the game in the later stages, especially on the new maps that were included in 1.1 I have heard before that Rebellion is entirely CPU-limited in terms of performance. I have an i7-3610, which while it isn't the best proc out there it is certainly up there. With that, no matter

Great, I just realized that I forgot to save the game with this bug. That will certainly make it easier for the devs to work on. [e digicons]:|[/e]
It was my homeworld, and the logistics slots had been upgraded for quite a while.
I don't know if I'm just one of the chosen for this bug or if others have experienced, but in my AL game I was trying to build a Trade port, and the constructors didn't go and start constructing it after I placed it. I tried to manually order it to construct, and it said that it could only target unbuilt structures. The TP was 0% built according to the mouseover. This never happened to me until 1.04. I've emailed the save to the StarClad support, so hopefully someone can figur
Currently we're not planning to do a beta (change of direction). The 1.04 update is slated for next Tuesday until something comes up in QA.
Any chance of getting a changelog before the update?
I was wondering if there is any idea when 1.04 is going to be released. I know that it is in beta-testing now, is there any ETA or changelog worked out yet, or is it still too early to know for sure
Maybe not all of those changes, but some of them would definitely make playing against a TEC loyalist a much more frightening proposition.
You can apply a buff to all targets in a cone. Look at the Ragnarov's Scattershot to see how that works.
Would there be any chance of merging TSOP into this? Or am I just dreaming?
@MajorStress: OK, that's fine, I understand delays in releasing things, as I mod (not sins) as well. Great work so far though!
Any chance that any of these efforts will get released soon? It seems like you are close to a release-quality product.
Any chance of merging this with Rebalanced Races?
