It's the Protoss Mothership all over again....
Classicvibe
It's probably the first ship to actually have that theme though. it reminds me of some sort of weird sushi plate.
Ice planets.... played a random map today that gave me 4 ice planets within the first hour and zero volcanic ones >.> I'm currently at like 6 ice planets, 2 terran, 1 desert, and 1 volcanic, excluding asteroids/moons You can always spam the buy crystal button though, that's what I always do
The way pirates are set up now are better classified as mercenaries/privateers than pirates. Traditionally, the pirates would probably be attacking undefended trade ships rather than trying to attack actual military fleets. I can't see them acting cohesively as a single entity though, I'm under the impression most pirates would want to be more independent than anything else
My corsev somehow nabbed a pirate corsair when I was raiding a pirate base.... it actually keeps all of the pirate dialogue xD
So, um, I'm an on and off player that comes back to SoaSE every few weeks, and a few days ago I tried a FFA 8 player single player map on hard, I think with 5 stars and maybe, 80 planets? TEC, normally Advent but the economic aspects of TEC attracted me (I'm big on eco) Entrenchment installed, no Diplomacy So yeah, massive map. I'm more accustomed to something like 2v2 or 3v3 medium maps with locked teams, so I was sorta new to all of the missions and
I've never tried zooming in that far to strikecraft....they're usually just a bunch of dots to me
Really appreciate all of those explanations, I can imagine it took you a while to write lol [e digicons]:X[/e]
blah didn't see Sanchezz's post So that's how it works lol.... I was building only one trade port at each planet up until this time (goes into trade port building frenzy xD) Erm, new question - been reading a bunch of forums threads and I got to wondering about the RPS relationships between the different ship types. Is there a thread or a sticky for this? Like, a flak frigate counters strikecraft, strikecraft c
Ooohh, so, you can build more than one trade port in a planet? I thought doing that would be redundant.... (unless people have 100 planets o.o)
Thanks for all of the info - I started a new game on the same difficulty settings, split ships early on and colonized planets like mad :D I got my income to about 85 credits per second with 16 planets or so. Are trade ports the last thing to build for maximizing income? I built one at every planet I own (cept dead asteroids, obviously)
Bought this game several weeks ago and played it intermittently, (not too often because the games usually stretched to something like, 4-6 hours?!) Anyways, I'm still on vanilla version with the newest patches - Currently I've done single player, moving myself up on AI difficulties on 2v2 locked teams medium size maps (like system of war) - AI on normal is pretty easy and I usually hit rank 1 in everything. Last game was AI on hard but my ally ended up tur
I wanna try multiplayer too, but seeing that I've had the game for about 20 hours now I'll probably be on single player for a while before I pluck up the courage to go online lol
