Well, dead people tend to have problems supplying other people with ships. I believe that this is how Stardock wishes for it to function.

As of now, The Advent are the most complete, but we just do not know when Stardock will allow us to beta test them. I agree in that always having to play TEC is a bore - they are my least favorite faction.

As of now, there is only one Titan that does have a special, passive, ability that becomes active when the correct tech is researched. It belongs to the Vasari Loyalist's Titan.
I do find the current abilities somewhat lackluster. The TEC Rebel Titan feels like an Olive Garden breadstick that gives hellish heartburn and the Loyalists is like playing with a space turtle in it's shell.
Can you say karma?

The Advent do have a defense against Phase Missiles, I know since I have been tinkering around with them. But since I am not sure if I am allowed to say "how," I will leave it at this.
Yes, it is possible to unlock the other factions in a few ways, but this causes a few problems for the developers. For one, you are spoiling yourself. You will be exposing yourself to techs and ship abilities that might get changed or even completely removed. Another thing is that the developers are, as of now, in the debugging state where they care more about how the engine works rather than how a faction plays. Sending info about how certain techs for the Vasari Loyalists are overpo
I have been playing with the Advent and Vasari myself, and I can say that this ship will affect multiplayer. The level six ability would make me think twice about attack the fleet that it was in, especially if the capital ship was at level six for quite some time.
I have had this happen to me as well, but it was with a titan foundry.
The gray matter/Nanite swarm theory is not possible here. Remember in the lore when the Vasari sent the Dark Armada to deal with the threat, and there was only one ship that came back? The ship was severely damaged and the crew on that ship went insane. I would say that, if it was a rouge nano swarm, then not only would the crew have been eaten alive, but the Vasari would have witnessed the damaged ship slowing turning into nano bots, which it did not.
As Advent in Trinity, I always used the illuminater's ability and had the fake ships sweep the fields. But since you can only play TEC, I suggest using the titan as a broom for large mine fields.
Well, I suppose contacting Stardock would be the next step. I am sorry that I can not be of any more help, I am quite certain that there are others more suited on these fourms to helping you than I ever could.

I would try uninstalling it and then reinstalling it. If that still does not work, try running it as an Admin. If that fails as well, I suggest contacting Stardock. Let me see if I can find the email for you. Edit: or . I am not sure which one though.
That would be a neutral colony. They tend to have structures and ships - it is not a bug, in fact, some per-built maps come with neutral colonies.
There are abilities in this beta that should affect other ships/structures, but they do not. This is one of them - I agree that boarding parties should be able to target capital ships and titans, but be unable to capture them. Another problem is the magnetize ability can not target titans.
It is the Cyrillic alphabet, that I do know, and I think that the language is Russian, but I could be wrong. On topic though, I have a feeling that the Advent Titans will have an abundance of strike craft, making them more suited for battle against fleets and not other titans. The Advent Loyalist Titan's role is probably going to be to replenish the Unity's fleet via capturing enemy frigates and cruisers (and planets), while the Rebel's Titan will more than likely
That is a binary file for you. You need something like a Hexadecimal editor, but even with that it is hard to make out what is in the file.

The thing is that that capital ship was never meant to capture structures. You might be thinking "how useless" but the ability does do damage over time. Edit: This will be fixed in later patches.
Have you listened to the new Vasari and Advent capital ships? I swear that the Advent's new capital ship is fueled by pure anger and malice.
