was this ever solved. I was hoping to come back to sins after the latest update.

fyi bump stardock has basically given up on getting this game to work with amd 6670M or any other AMD switchable graphics card. Their email was apologetic but pretty clear, and it was not addressed in the 1.04 patch.
With vasari in frontline slot carrier is still a better open, both for early DPS, eventual ability to spam bombers and lvl 6 replicate forces (the amount of tactical flexibility being able to pop out copies of enforcers, overseers, subverters or siege frigates gives you should not be underestimated). You need colonizer anyway to get your sb up, so two isn't necessarily a waste. Egg is just too slow at turning, although nano dissembler + gravity warhead is a great combo. VL in ec
one way to annoy the hell out of AR using a titan + caps fleet is 2 dunovs. He basically can't do enough spike DPS against you without frigates. your support should be carriers (all bomber) and flak, the reason you are losing so many frigates is probably because they are Lrm/corvette
yeah, I like to sneak in LRMs once the battle starts to snipe guardians. Just need to keep them away from advent cap combos. I've been keeping a roughly 50/50 fighter bomber mix, might try to up # of fighters and see what happens, as the question is can your fleet survive until the bombers are dead and the carriers & caps have no more AM. How good is the TEC sb ability that gives it hull repair and AM regen. Especially when paired with lvl 6 dunov I imagine this would let you
I was very frustrated with this matchup as unless I was in rush position I found it a very tough nut to crack. The key seems to be unit micro, which is pretty foreign for most TEC eco players. Just a few tips on winning large engagements (titan, 3-4 caps, 50+ bombers and 100+ frigates with support cruisers). You need mid-level caps for this, so either wait until you have the credits to buy levels to attack or delay truce among rogues and creep a bit. Against advent carrier spam you ne
This is my exact problem on my current hp dv6 core i7 sandy bridge laptop with amd 6770M switchable graphics.
even when strip rush get nerfed (likely taxed), I think an empire lab opening is much more viable than it was before, when it was limited to eco/feed positions. trade ports to shipboard labs/pricelss goods will remain a viable strategy. how many mil labs do people think is right in this case though. 2 slow your shipboard lab time by a lot but get you flak and corvettes, along with starbase if necessary to defend, 1 is much faster and gives you LRF to support your carrier cap, 0 is via
I have this problem as well on my dv6 with AMD 6770M. BSOD the first time, won't launch after that. Stock system, upgraded with HPs latest driver. Trinity worked fine.
thanks for the advice, one problem I have with vasari is I never know when to switch to eco and get those imperial labs up, but you seem to be recommending not to do it as vasari are too slow, and instead try to steamroll with ships also, is skirantra lead still true post the nerf in 1.20? also, any advice against TEC embargo, you are right, their rush shuts you down before you can do much about it
So I just got Trinity, and have started playing online (played entrechment offline a couple years back). Most game seem to be 5v5, and problem is that I mess up the game for 9 other people whenever I play. Was hoping I could get some strategy/build recommendations that would allow me to hold my own against inters if I'm near an enemy (3 jumps) on those big maps. My current build is egg, scouts for neutrals, take 1-2 asteroids, weapon lab, assailants + phase missiles, s
