Just thought of this... I preordered back on March 12, 2011! Stardock=Impulse back then... Impulse now = Gamestop and Stardock is separate. How is this going to work being that Gamestop/Impulse has no record but Stardock does?!?
You still have your purchase but the download and such will be provided through Steam regardless of purchuse location/record.

Wow... must be perfect timing becauase it is snowing a ton right now.
There isn't much of a huge difference except for the fact that the i7 series do support hyperthreading and such. The i7 is virtually a 8 core CPU rather than the regular 4 cores of the i5. Thing is that i7s are wickedly expensive and that you probably don't really need one and could just settle for the latest in the i5 series and that will do for pretty much anything.
The SSD harddrives to me don't seem to be worth it. They do run faster then again I have the tendency to not know a real difference. Kinda like HD where I need the side by side comparison to actually see a difference. I don't really see much that actually needs to be upgraded except for CPU. Just look around newegg.com or something and see if you can find a Core 2 Quad for yah. What exactly do you want to spend on your CPU?

They said in an interview/article that hints and info will actually be inside the coding of Rebellion. Their prediction on how long till we (and by we I mean the modders if the statement is literal) piece together those hints is about 7 mins before the game actually releases. https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/418246/page/1/#3092180
Well most of us play on random maps in general online so if you ever want to get into the field you should play these the most. What exactly have you been doing to lose so quickly to the Easy AI. It be nice if you can post a replay or something. You probably want to start with a 4 player medium random map I am mostly an avid TEC player both online and SP and generally this is probably the easiest of races to get into for newbies. 1. As your first
Tutorials could use expansion and such. The tutorials are really lacking. It tells you nothing of proper unit counters which this entire game runs on.
Well multiplayer support is coming since the newest stand alone expansion called Rebellion is a Steamworks game now. Graphics get an update in Rebellion as well. Campaign wouldn't do you much good in the PvP arena since campaign's run on specific scenarios when as multiplayer it runs on various strategies sure there are standard things that everybody does for their respective factions but that's about it. Also a campaign in a 4x RTS game is a bit awkward. The point
A bit off topic, but I've been thinking of this whole Rebellion on Steam thing, and I've got a, likely crazy, suggestion for the folks down at Stardock; make a single-player only version of Rebellion sold via Stardock's download market thingy. It would have no multiplayer, either online or LAN, and maybe would cost a bit less due to this. While I'm unsure of how difficult it would be to edit the MP portions out of the engine, it woul

Apparently little bits of info will be hidden in the code, and Ironclad is anxious to find out how long it takes the community to sort through it all and crack the clues. Our guess? Seven minutes. Before the game comes out.
Nothing really new except for
Lol we had a thread about this then it turned into a bitchfest about Steam. So Everybody in this thread drop the Steam comments and talk about the actual game.

Nobody ever plays this sort of thing bc it's so easy to start grouping due to "personal issues"
Well they stated that a fully upgraded SB will barely kill off the level 1 Titan. Anything else you better bring either your own Titan or if you are TEC loyalists group all your SBs in the same well in one spot.
I would like to join in as well if you guys are actually going to do this.

I might as well put this up for people who want to play online with Rebellion. Not sure how many actually pre-ordered with the whole Steamworks issue going on. After giving some thought I am probably gonna pre-order the game and throw out my issues with Steam and see how it goes. Heck maybe I'll learn to like Steam after this is over. (heard they got some pretty nice sales). So I may as well figure out if people are even going to play this online since currently not many d
