There are reasons we play we just normal fleet sizes in standard MP settings. If we wanted larger fleet sizes than we just turn up the settings. 1. Lag (this reason is self explainatory) 2. If it was just punching out through defenses than you would just guarentee the person with the best economy the winner since he would just outnumber you and be able to take as many loses as possible and we might as well leave the "tactical" part of the genre out. <p

Yah know. I am not all that worried about the price tag of this game. As others have said it before me I get hours upon hours of gameplay where like something like CoD which costs $60 I might drop in the next couple weeks with only a few hours even with multiplayer. Ironclad and Stardock have proven to me that they deserve the money heck they were nice enough to give a discount. I have no problem paying $40 heck $60 if they improve marketting to get a larger PvP community with

Ever since the apperance of Minecraft. Indie games have definately been on the rise since Minecraft tells everybody that good games don't need to come from the big triple A companies. Which is good for both sides since it promotes competition which equates to better made games in theory hopefully.
if the average hardware today was gtx580 + i7 2500K?
If the average hardware was that then yes it would work and if they could update the engine to run on mulitple CPU cores than yes it is entirely possible. The problem is that it will take quite a bit of time to rework the engine into that state and not everybody can afford such hardware yet. You might have to wait a few years before that happening.

Well Akkan's and Dunovs were originally large cargo ships or civilian cruise ships as well as the Sova. It is no surprise that they were at a trade port. The only capital ship in the TEC fleet that arn't originally civilian is the Kol and maybe the Marza. Yah know it would be cool if I can divert or upgrade TEC capitals to do trade duty as well since that was their original purpose.
Does anyone else feel that the Kols front Cannons need to be changed to be more in line with the way the Star base Beam Arrays are? I don't like how there are Four cannons that should only be able to fire in a direct line but they do not. they can fire in a 180 degree arc. To me, those Cannons need to be replaced withtheones on the Star base the U shaped ones to better match its firing arcs. those would be better l

Lol good point. But scaling in the game also is a bit awkward due to planet sizes unless the capital ships and star bases are at least a few 100 kilometers.
Quoting Rovert10, reply 5Stant feel like doing another ship sizing chart again? Well, I've always intended on doing it for all of them due to the fact that nothing is to scale with each other. There's just this pesky thing called time I never seem to have enough of. But I'll get to it eventually though, you can be sure of that.
Well at least we have an actual man to colony frigate scale we c

Okay when facing against AIs here is what you should do defensively. 1. Get the best chokepoints and get SBs at them 2. Upgrade your SBs and make you sure you have a good number of repair bays next to them (4 should be good). 3. After that you can get Phase jump inhibitors, a few turrets, mines, hanger bays, and whatever you fancy. Thats all you really need to do except keep a defense fleet just to kill off any dedicated structure killers like Orgovs if you are

Yes a feature like this would just overcomplicate the game entirely if we are talking real time ground combat I would like added ground defense upgrades but I believe IC said they will never attempt the actual ground combat stage. You will probably kill off the already small MP community as it is with this feature. We don't have the ability nor the time to manage this much. I doubt even someone like Auqia, DT, Bia, or w/e could pull it off. This

Kol is a bit debatable due to it's low antimatter reserves and that the flak ablity cost so much. Yes it does its job very well but unless you have antimatter upgrades and have a Dunov with flux field than you will be hard pressed to be consistently relying on this unless you have it at level 6 than thats something else but in MP. Again hard pressed to keep it alive till that level. I have never seen BIA nor Auqia build a Kol yet either so I can't tell.

So I was watching a video concerning the situation with Steam and banned accounts. Apparently there have been cases where people who been using Steam for god knows how long are banned for legitament reasons or nothing (who knows). In the process they can loses hundreds if not thousands of dollars worth of games since Steam requires you to access your account online to access that Library of yours. Being banned means you can't access your account. So I was looking at variou

Again I don't really see people's obsession with Steam. Maybe I am not into it which would be odd since I am 16 and I should be into this but I just don't turst the dam thing. If Steam somehow dies on us than all those games in that "Library" can go along with it. There have been cases where the ban accounts and the person loses hundreds of dollars worth of games. Too me seems to big of a risk.

I think we are a bit too focused on the active abilities and ultimate ablities. Titans also have a number of passive ablities. These things will be spamming out both active and providing passive ones. I assume the Athena (loyal TEC titan) will have something like this - Targetting boost (Akkan) - Supply (SB) - Mass repair - Armor and Shield boosts Something along those lines. I do not supper the whole titan should be FACTORY deal. W

I actually perfer my games on hard copies. I don't trust Steam bc consumer protection laws arn't really up to date with current distribution systems. Steam can ban your account and you lose all the games and their support is absolute crap when it comes to this. You can try to sue but not a whole lot of people can afford such a thing. On Steam the game is not yours in a sense. At the moment the advantages of Steam don't outweigh the disadvantages and the risks of
