Quoting boshimi336, reply 5 ... I will not make your mod for you!!! You will...oh yes...you will.
Someone mind explaining to me what is going on here?
Rovert10
Well at least you responded to our issue.
Who knows maybe after using Steam a few times for Rebellion, we will begin to like it.
LOL. Seriously, if I could have the whole community over for a party I would. What most people don't realize is that I'm a Usenet/forum guy who started a game company. I was a forum guy FIRST. My motivation, good or bad, is to make games for my friends.
Send the invites bc I am there just tell me what we are playing first and who is providing the "refreshments". [e digicons]:P[/e]
I call hacks!
Oh no, I do hold it against them. They have every right to do this, and it probably does make economic sense. It could be a smart business decision, but that does not make them exempt from the consequences. For whatever its worth they're going to destroy any brand loyalty they had from me in the process. I haven't yet decided what action to take as a result of this news, but at the least Rebellion will be the last Stardock game I preorder.
@Zombie You really cant help but be sarcastic and vague all the time can you?
No, you didn't even bother to read Yarlen's full post that you can play Sins singleplayer in OFFLINE mode. You just won't be able to access ICO. Yes we have a dislike for Steam but at least take the time to read the full post.
Quoting Thoumsin, reply 10About pre-order, you can find some info at https://esupport.stardock.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/List/Index/106/pre-orders but about cancel a pre-order, info is found at https://esupport.stardock.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/329/94/can-i-cancel-a-pre-order ...Emailing sales is the easiest way to handle this. Be sure to tell why you are cancelling. It matters to us.
Something tells me
I'm curious of a few things: Why didn't Stardock publish? What the business relationship between Ironclad and Stardock nowadays? Does this mean that Ironclad is done with Sins? Who owns the intellectual property of the Sins universe? Online? Multiplayer? Join Friends? Nope.
Looking at the desc. It is going to be a multiplayer online game. As in publishing, it is
Well isn't that a bit cynical. Especially when we just have a vague description and a few concept arts.
Quoting Rovert10, reply 10It practically just ostracizes people who don't want to deal with Steam. They could have at least given us the option to not deal with Steam in anyway like Trinity. I don't care if ICO is insufficient, I just don't want to deal with Steam. 10, 15, 20 of you? How many compared to the gains of offering this on steam. I doubt they have the resources to offer a Steam and ICO version anyway
It practically just ostracizes people who don't want to deal with Steam. They could have at least given us the option to not deal with Steam in anyway like Trinity. I don't care if ICO is insufficient, I just don't want to deal with Steam. Also what ever happened to that Stardock Store or w/e?
Steamworks is more reliable than ICO at its current state. That's all I can say and that you will get these odd achievements and ablity to invite friends through Steam. CPU core usage is a question mark here. Can't say for certain about that. Depends on how the made the game to do what.
I'd hate to be the guy in front of that thing. I assume this is the Titan shipyard. Look how big that thing is comp
The app store is a bit odd. Has this happen for an extended period of time?
Now all to do now is to make it pratical in manufacturing than we too can acquire such technology.
Well I don't see anything mentioning that this was a Steamworks game especially after how long it took to even get the pre-order avaliable for Steam.
I really doubt this is going to be Steam Exclusive. Remember when people who wanted to pre-order but wont due it due to not being on Steam. That means they guys who pre-order before they got on Steam will just get a regular digital copy. You actually had to redeem your pre-order code by yourself on Steam. It isn't automatically get on Steam. So there isn't any worries to that.
Idk why we even respond to this guy anymore...
when i got on to gamespy and watched the vide the little info bok said it wasnt coming out untill December 31st of 2012! is that true????
No thats not true. They have no set date at all yet.
Quoting Yarlen, reply 3Initially we had planned to go this route, but it proved to be confusing to testers. As such, you must now choose to be rebel or loyalist during game setup. Seriously? Am I the only one who wanted to be able to scout the map before choosing a subfaction?
Yeah that's kinda of a bummer. I would want to at least be able to see my position in the map before I choose the subfaction. It's no use
Surrendering is a ingame mechanic thus quiting out when you think you are going to lose is part of the game and thus should be considered finished. A finished game is when the victory screen shows for the victors. If the emeny surrenders/quits than thats their choice. Also we are usually pretty good at determining when a game is just over. I mean it's usually the situation where we take out like 2 guys leaving it to be like a 5v3 or less. By then it's impossible to actual
Who knows when Rebellion comes around if the Kol and the Radiance might actually be worth using more.
If you really want to get better at this game, you should start playing TEC. They have really powerful capital ships, particularly the Dunov capital ship. Spam these like no tomorrow. As far as supporting frigates and cruisers go, only build Cielo command cruisers and siege frigates. Do not build colony frigates or colonize planets because it is a waste of resources that could be poured into Dunovs.
W
Quoting Rovert10, reply 2 Also the MP speed is really just fine. Most games only last about 1-2 hours maybe a little more. It really isn't that bad when you compare it to like 10 hours AI comp stomps or w/e. Unless players start close to eachother, only play on small maps, or if the players can literally see the future, a game's outcome is not so obvious. Most players dont want to wait and see how long they can hold out
