RiddleKing, you work at Stardock? You should get one of those cool little Stardock logos like Yarlen has. With "future installments" do you mean further expansions for Sins of a Solar Empire or a sequel using the same engine? I am happy that Stardock pays attention to the little things in their games that are usually not upheld as the things which make the game great, but the details that make the game a more in-depth and engaging experience.

Good idea. I think it would be really cool if each titan had at least one big unique debris piece.
Yeah. What Ravagus said. Except for the part about bludgeoning partygoers with it. I can think of a lot better things to hit partygoers with than a manual. If you don't want to injure them badly or permanently, then a hardcover textbook would be much more effective than a paperback manual that is probably less than 100 pages. If you do want to hurt the partygoers (maybe they are still at your house at 4:00 in the morning) you should use a wooden chair or a glass bottle. Plus, when
Just listened to the Sins of a Solar Empire soundtrack on Youtube. As far as I know that is the only place to find the entire thing, in all of its glory. I really must complement Paul Schuegraf (that's the composer on my soundtrack CD) on his work. He is truly a master of music, to the same level as Jeremy Soule (The Elder Scrolls) and Howard Shore (Lord of the Rings), my other two favorites. I do so hope that Stardock will include the full soundtrack of Sins on CD. I know now aft
Stardock has said that they are working on a collector's edition for Rebellion, but have not given much details on it, except that it would be in boxed form direct from Stardock only, and that if they do decide to do it (they seem to be not sure as of yet) it will have something very big in it. I know that this is exactly the thing I have been waiting for from Rebellion, and I am more excited for the collector's edition than I am for any of the added game play features. I was
Agreed. I heard initially of scenarios, and I was happy that Stardock was expanding the single-player portion of their game. I have never played multiplayer Sins, and so single-player was the only improvements I cared about in Rebellion. I haven't heard anything of the scenarios for a while now. I hope that they have not been cut from the final release. It would be good if the devs could give some solid details on what scenarios will be. Will they be like a campaign mission like i
Here is my personal opinion of what the Rebellion sub factions should be designated as, taking into account all of the suggestions thus far. TEC - Loyalists / Rebels Advent - Orthodox / Apostates Vasari - Itinerants / Imperialists I think that all of these suggestions correctly convey the play styles and philosophies of their respective factions without sounding overused or vague or too focused on one aspect of their existence as a sub faction. I also think tha
Probably... Not. That would be really pointless.
I actually like "Imperialists" as a name for one of the Vasari sub-factions. I think that it would go better with the Rebels, though, because the Vasari Loyalists are supposed to destroy planets, not imperialize them. I also like both Zealots and Fundamentalists for the Advent, but I think that Fundamentalists would go better with the Loyalists because they are keeping to the Advent fundamentals, whereas the Zealots could go for both sub-factions, and so I think it is a little less aw
I actually think that this is a great idea and encourage Stardock to heed the words of Timmaigh and change the names of the Vasari and Advent sub factions. Personally, I think that "Apostates" is a great name, fitting the Advent like a glove. I am surprised that you are not an English speaker, Timmaigh, using great words like that. I have never even heard that word before, but it sounds really awesome. I wish that I could give you a suggestion for an Advent Loyalist name, but I just t
Does anybody really want a tech tree poster? I got one when I bought my Game of the Year edition and had to wonder who decided that this is what gamers want. In my opinion, putting a tech tree poster up on your wall is way to geeky and just looks plain dumb. No disrespect to the tech tree, I think that they are great in the game, just I do not think that they are a thing of beauty. I would much rather have that picture of the Ragnarov titan with the Rebellion logo in the corner. Orang
" Assuming we move forward on it"? There is no doubt, Stardock. It is your destiny to create an awesome collector's edition for Sins Rebellion. You shall do this. I will quote Yoda, "There is no try. There is only do." This is what you must do, Stardock. Make that boxed collector's edition and make it good. And do not forget about the soundtrack CDs! I don't know if anyone else thinks that the music of Sins is great stuff, but I sure do. I bought the Game of the Ye
I sure hope that you are right, wbino. I am fine with losing the trip to the store to purchase Rebellion, that's not really something I enjoy. But what I do enjoy is having a nice, high quality collector's edition with some cool stuff (a soundtrack CD or two if there is that much music and a spaceship sculpture are some good ideas) and a manual and a box and a disk. That is all I ask.
Even if they do not release a boxed collector's edition (in my mind, it's not a collector's edition at that point, just a scam) is it possible that a CD soundtrack could be released for Sins Rebellion containing all of the music from Sins and its expansions? I would buy this in a heartbeat. Still, I wish that they were releasing a boxed collector's edition. I would buy this in half a heartbeat, and I would put this up in my room on display and stare at it and love it.
Oh. That's a downer.
I hope the collector's edition will have an awesome box (preferably made of paperboard or metal) with cool screen shots on the back or inside and maybe a great manual inside with little pictures of the ships (in color) and that tell a little bit about them (just like the original Sins of a Solar Empire manual, I loved that thing even though it was still in black and white). But what I would really really love in a collector's edition would be a soundtrack CD. I bought the Game
