Sorry, no. This is also out of scope.
Ah ok. I'll stop bothering you guys about it! Good luck and thanks again for supporting this game for this long.
Thanks for the update guys! Would there be a possibility of adding a "No Titans" option on the game start in the future?
looking forward to it!
Don't get me wrong, I love the titans in Rebellion, and they were probably the most visible selling point of the expansion, but I think it would be very interesting to have the option of disabling them and playing a game of Sins, Trinity-style but with all of the improvements that have been made since the release of Rebellion. Since we recently got the option to disable superweapons I thought it might be possible that we could get a "No Titans" option. Do you think it could happen?
Great to have another update. So just to be clear, if I'm playing with some AI players, their hangars will auto-dock but mine will not? And it's too bad my turret cheese strategy won't be so effective from now on...
As someone who has mainly played as the Vasari since the original game came out, I learned a few cool things from this guide. If I ever played multiplayer I'm sure I'd be smashed. The bugged Jump Stabilization research and incorrect tooltips for Stripped to the Core are good to know and I might even try using phase inhibitors now. The "dirty mines" strategy is hilarious.
Ha, I've always wondered if this could happen when I'd see missiles going off out of the gravity well into empty space. Well if you were hard up this game, it looks like you might have a fighting chance now.
This is actually pretty hilarious. Unfortunate for you, but this is a pretty cool idea.
Thanks to everyone who had a hand in this - Stardock, Ironclad, and everyone here on these forums that still have so much passion for this game. It's pretty much unheard of for video game companies to put this much longevity into their games, and I hope you guys know that your work is very appreciated.
Thanks Zombie! Just a question - what (if any) is the reward for winning ModDB Mod of the Year?
Welcome back, axxo2! Haven't seen your artwork on these forums for a while, and it's excellent as always.
Blair, it's great to have you back on the forums! I remember having this issue as well, though I don't have any screenshots or files to show it. I hope you can track it down. Looking forward to the update, even if it's little stuff.
Exterminator, I agree completely. Not many people seem to point out the music from Sins, but to me it was a really large part of the experience. I think his work for Rebellion definitely showed that he was growing as a composer, and having a Sins 2 without his soundtrack would definitely leave a big hole in the atmosphere of the game for me.
I'd love to see a Sins 2, but I hope that Ironclad doesn't rush it just to generate some revenue as quickly as possible. Sins 1 (and its expansions) really was a beautiful blend of everything I wanted in a strategy game. I think a Sins 2 could easily just be refinements and expansions to the original and I would love it. But it better not turn out like Supreme Commander 2 did.
This forum is pretty dead except for a couple of mod threads, so I wouldn't expect much interest in anything other than some official Sins news from the devs. Which really hasn't happened in a long time, and it doesn't look like we can expect anything soon. But with Ironclad shelving Sins of a Dark Age, maybe we'll hear about a Sins 2 sooner rather than later. It would be nice if they would reveal what they were teasing before the release of Rebellion, but as there see
Yeah, I saw that, just wondering how many hours you had to play
Wow, congrats! Wish I had the patience. But I'm pretty proud of finding those Space Ponies. Out of curiosity, how long did it take you?
I stand with harpo in this final stand to uphold a long-forgotten promise. I think Sins has at least one update left in it.
IskatuMesk, first of all I would like to say that I am truly, truly saddened by the death (well, indefinite postponement) of this project, but I understand that it has been a real struggle for you the whole way through and that at this point continuing work on it would have a very strong chance of still not leading to the finished product you were looking for. But I am extremely impressed with with what you achieved alone, with no other entity paying you or enticing you
Wow! What a fantastic prologue! Your story more than lives up the work of givemesomepienow, WOEaintME. There were moments when I was just like, "Yeah, that did happen in the intro of the original game (the bright white light engulfing the station on Kron, the forming of the TEC) or in the game manual (all of that mining background of the Marza and Kodiaks). And to incorporate all three factions at once in the same prologue was a feat. I do hope that you continue writing
I know that Europe also got a physical DVD release in a regular plastic box (not collector's edition) through Kalypso.
OOOOOOOOOOh my I'm pumped.
What about water cooling? That's pretty cool stuff. Ha. Ha. Yeah... now I feel like backing out of the room slowly...
Wow, I feel like I'm learning something. I never even watched all of Salvation, but I am a big fan of what you have done so far, IskatuMesk. I don't want Retribution to be released and then the day afterward you post a 3-hour long rant about all of its flaws. But it seems that you know how to get to the quality of work you are looking for - I just hope your character models pan out. Do you have any published books or anything else set in the Black Sun un
