I needed to vent because it really bothers me that many of my friends refuse to try out Sins of a Solar Empire. Lately, I've been voicing a lot of praise and protracted accounts of game play, but driving friends and counterparts at work, friends outside of work, and even my girlfriend crazy. I'm sorry, but for several reasons, I really love this game. I admit, too much of anything can be unhealthy, so I'm toning it down (even with my friends that also play Sins). As I s

I would love to see a campaign one day. To be honest though, I'm notorious in strategy games for jumping into skirmishes and avoiding campaign mode, so Trinity appeals to me. However, I do enjoy a good campaign and getting immersed in the story. I especially like it when there are good actors in the game that talk to you (e.g., Wing Commander: Prophecy). When I look at a game, I measure the story, the graphics and game play (look and feel), the music, and the soun
Oh, I see. I'm still getting acquainted with the TEC so my experience is remarkably limited with Advent and Vasari. I look forward to learning all three eventually.
@ GoaFan, good point as well. I usually keep my eye on everything, but once I barreled down the wormhole, I began solely relying on those alerts. And it apparently cost me.
That's a good point. So it would be in my best interest to make a habit of regularly reviewing the alert panels at the bottom. [e digicons][/e]
My forces pushed their way through our home star system and eventually reached a gas giant that was connected to two enemy planets. Both planets had a strong fleet presence and my forces were not powerful enough to proceed. So I locked down that gravity well with a starbase, upgraded it, and then took my forces through a womrhole to a neighboring star. Much later, I turned my attention back to that gas giant, and the starbase was gone. I do not rec
"My other car is a Marza"
That's awesome! My friend saw that, smiled, pointed at the screen, and said I want it. He also suggested one with a picture of the Kol on it, but I'm not sure what it would say. I love your idea as well, Ryat (including the extra letters for effect). As to using unit quotes, I suggest that after seeing a lot of shirts that do that with movies and games. It's become viral and it makes fa
Thanks for the feedback. I didn't think I would even get any. You guys are fast. @ Ryat, is Domination a mod? @ Sinperium, I like that - probe teams. If they did implement something like this, I would hope it's available for every faction, but I'm doubtful. #6 loosely translates to: "Wouldn't it be nice if" since such a system would probably require many months to code. I certainly don't want to be the person responsible for delaying the arrival of Re
I wasn't sure which forum to put this in, but I'm a big fan and as I see gamers wearing shirts that highlight various games, I think it would be great to see shirts that shine the spotlight on Ironclad Games and Sins of a Solar Empire. So this is a suggestion for adding t-shirts to Ironclad's store with expressions from the game. For example: "Behold, my creation!" Sayings that are iconic of the game. Another shirt could read (this is my favorite one): "Property of Ironclad Games.
Hi, I'm new around here, and have only played Sins of a Solar Empire (Trinity) for a few months. This game has moved to the top of my list. I'm very excited to hear that another chapter is coming (Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion) and although I'm new, I wanted to share some things that my friends and I have agreed would be great enhancements in Diplomacy's successor. Here they are and I hope you like them. 1. A no-fly zone option. Although we can define a path for
