They're trying to jump away from a black hole that conveniently formed next to their Titan. It should take about a few days to get out of the gravitational pull.

Reply to DirectX9 in Sins Rebellion
DirectX 9 (and any other version of DirectX) generally comes packed with any game that uses it, no matter on which kind of operating system you play. You don't have to worry about not being able to accuire the correct DirectX version for your game if you upgrade to a newer OS. Besides, older DirectX packages are also available for download on the web.
Ok, thanks for the info.

What will happen to DirectX9 when Microsoft kills Windows XP? Will the game have to be made in DirectX11, or something to that effect? Is DirectX9 old now? Or will it be ok?

Personally, I think the pirates need a KOL without shields, but with ridiculous hull and armor.

Apparently, whatever was chasing them is extremely close. The last *beacon* has gone out, and their phase drives got corrupted. They're all panicing right now, but they're working on the fix. Off Topic: One of their titans got attacked by who knows what, and it did a blind jump away, but when it completed the jump, something like this happened:
BSG Spoiler:

...other then that rebellion essentially doubles the number of playable factions. Sure, there are tremendous similarities between the loyals/rebels of a give race, but they have been differentiated enough that they often embrace different tactics and play styles even if they are using most of the same ships/techs.
Seriously, think about it. 6 different factions to choose from. Imagine the possibilities!
...but WHY no new soundtrack (1), new sounds (2), a "refreshed" UI (3), new textures (4) and so on ???
1. There is new soundtrack. 2. There are new sounds to new abilities. 3. There is a new UI for each race. (You should check out the Vasari UI, it's really alien-like.) 4. The entire graphical engine was redone from scratch.
That tells us almost nothing. How did you make the starbase? Does it attack when you manually order it? etc.
Ok, you need more details. The SB will attack on an order, but it will stop after 1 burst, I think. I made the SB by copying the Tech's sb entity, renamed to StarbasePirate, added it to manifest, added it to galaxyscenariodef, made it so that all of the weapons are allowed to fire without upgrades, made a con

I made a mod where the pirates have their OWN SB's (their own sb entity), not the Tech SB's. It won't auto attack. Ideas?
Thats how i should be. They should not be just free xp. I think they should also get a pirate Capital ship if you feed them enough money, that would be awesome. (... or even a Titan? )
I actually modded the game so they got 2 Ragnorav Titans and 1 Ankylon Titan and 5 KOL's without shields. I also gave them 100 Heavy's. It was funny to watch them attack my planet. I lost it completely.

Seriously, look at this video. Shouldn't the occupation planet's sb defenses be like this? This hard to kill, and this nasty? I see what you mean by having to make a big fleet and bother with your enemy, but still, I think that ATLEAST the sb should be hard to kill. The occupation planet, in my opinion, is too easy to take with a big fleet. <

The Occupation planet is great. The only thing is the defenses. The defenses are just too weak. After you get a huge fleet, you can jump in, and go all 'lalala' on the planet. Also, the starbase is not upgraded. I was expecting a fully upgraded starbase. If the dev's could find a way to give the starbase upgrades without the occupation people actually playing, that would be great. I know that this may take a while to put in the code, but it is too easy to
