This thread is a rather immature jab at the argument the author of the OP and I are having in another thread. He's mocking me for my stance that the advent rebels shouldn't have the benefit of Wail of the Sacrificed pretty much negated by any TEC player with a novalith cannon and half a brain(as it is trivially easy to wipe out a planet's entire population from a nice safe distance). Well I suppose this thread at least does well to demonstr

The problem: One of the most interesting and faction-defining technologies of the advent rebels is IMO "Wail of the Sacrificed", and between that technology and the % income buff granted by expulsion ti seem clear to me that the Advent Rebels are supposed to be dependent on grabbing and holding high population worlds. hmm interesting, I was unaware the Eradica has multiple attack targets per bank. I had thought it simply had some of it's damage on side banks that couldn't attack enemies directly in front of it. If that's the case that certainly makes a sinificant difference. Honestly I'm really starting to think that frigates should stop giving experience to titans after level 3 or 4 or so. Perhaps increase the experience rewards from destroying buildings & capital ships a bit to compensate. A fleet of frigates should never be a liability.

The problem with having ships move a lot more is it cuts down on a player's ability to keep track of the battlefield in larger battles(think 100 ship+ battles), which in turn cuts down on their ability to make strategic decisions. You'd have to be half-insane to keep tracks of 50+ allied ships & 50+ enemy ships, tracking where most ships of each type are concentrated at a give moment.

Just had a thought: shouldn't novalith's duration scale down based on the game's resource speed? As it is in faster speeds it actually causes greater economic damage then in slower speeds(more resources lost). Considering that the cost of researching and building a novalith is constant this seems like an oversight.
