Yes, but Classic Shell hacks system files if I remember correctly. Also, using Windowblinds and Classic Shell together is something I would not recommend. I don't think they will work well together at all.
Classic Shell does not hack any system files. I don't know where you got this misinformation. I suspect you work for Stardock and are trying to spread misinformation about Classic Shell on purpose?

No it doesn't show me as trial day remaining. It shows me "Deactivate license" button. I certainly didn't install any cracked or pirated version, but I just don't remember buying Start10, only Start8. @The_Gear, my account is different from the one I use for the forums. I had forgotten the password so I made a different account and then I retrieved the password. Anyway, thanks for the replies. I will look my other email accounts to see

For some reason I have a licensed copy of Start10 on my Windows 10 with a "Deactivate License" button. I don't remember paying for Start10 although I did have a valid license for Start 8. I checked my email and online Stardock account too also but all I found was Start8 license info. So did I actually enter Start8 license info into my Start10 because I don't remember doing so. How can I retrieve my license info for Start10? Where is it stored on local computer?</p

In what way is it exceptional? Microsoft seems to have only rearranged parts of the Metro screen in the shape of a Start menu?

If I knew that in these forums, Stardock only "sometimes" replied to select people and others try to tell you how you should use your PC and belittle you just because they don't approve of a feature request, I would have asked my question where I was guaranteed an official reply at least.
Quoting some1anywhere, reply 11Unfortunately, no one from Stardock has replied. You'll find that Stardock hasn't the time to respond to all feature requests. I have been here since 2004, made many feature requests, several went unanswered. They have a lot to do.
You are kidding right? They do not bother replying in forums to users who purchased their apps? Oh well then I give up.
Seriously......If those are real issues for you, then I suggest you just stick with static wallpapers, at least when running on battery power. (or as benmanns suggested; pause the dream it is done with 2 clicks...right click on the desktop and then in the dropdown menu pause Deskscapes.) What I find hilarious is that you obviously think Stardock will rewrite a program for what, so far, is a

number74, that's what the problem is with people like you. You don't get what the issue is - wasted resources playing the video even when just a tiny portion of the desktop is showing. Why in fact even if a window isn't maximized but occupying 70-80% of the desktop, the video will be unnecessarily played wasting GPU resources, CPU and reducing battery life. I am requesting an enhancement to save battery life and you here are suggesting workarounds. Hilarious. What's th

Bump. I would like a response from Stardock please. :) I bought DeskScapes because I believed Stardock listens to users :) and in this day and age, saving battery life on any device is important so an option to "Play Dream only when all windows are minimized" or "Play only when majority of the desktop is showing" would be really appreciated. :)

I came across this site called WinSounds.com to download free sounds. It appears legit and has many of the good old Plus! pack sounds which Microsoft had and old Windows sounds too. I thought I would share it here if it's okay.
Other products may not use the Windows Indexer. In fact doesn't classic shell only show results from apps anyway?
I checked with the latest version of Classic Shell. It shows full indexer results not just apps.

That's right I meant PNG and I tried to save in the same directory but gave it a different name. It went ahead and overwrote my original file anyways. But it's okay I know now what it does.

I checked Automatically create mouseover and pressed states for me and picked a source file and saved the image as a different file name but it still modded my original source file. I said Yes to automatically resize it for optimal taskbar resizing and now my original source PNG is gone :( even if I saved it as a different file name. Not a big problem as I have backup of original but just thought it might be a bug or something. My original was named Flower_x1.jpg because I thought adding x1 w

I tried with Windows Start screen, StartIsBack+ and Classic Shell. Windows Start screen shows all results, Classic Shell shows all results. StartIsBack+ - same problem as Start8. Maybe something wrong with my Windows Search. But it shows all is indexed. :( Thanks for the quick reply.

No the list is not filled, only few results of programs and control panel and lot of empty space where files should show. Problem persists after reboot. In see more results, no files are shown.

I have similar issue. Start8 displays Programs and Control Panel results for me. No file search results at all. My search service is running and all items are indexed. Files search works on the Start Metro screen properly.
I know Deskscapes automatically stops playing the video when a window is maximized, but I don't want the video to play even if part of the desktop is showing wrong if you maximize the window the video is still running and that is good for people that have a dual screen tripple or quad screen setup and above. You could just go and pause the dream it is done with 2 clicks...right click on the desktop and then in the dropd
