Hey Ruby My virus scanner picking up viruses/malware on your Jan 10 uploads. I suggest you scan your pc for viruses/malware/key loggers to ensure you haven't picked up anything. Otherwise enjoying watching the other uploads.

I don't get kicked that much anymore these days (albeit Hummer pretty much kick me most of the times- so I usually just don't bother joining room when he hosts), but other than him I am usually fine. I was talking about getting kicked all the times when I first started, I pretty much gave up on the game for close to a year then came back just to take a peek as the game still happened to be installed on my PC & I was bored one day. I got lucky when a player called "jinglyca
The community isn't toxic. The people that play multiplayer are good. If you want to be good, you have to take your whippings. If you think wait times are slow right now, just think how they were when there was only around 20 people online for... years. The Multiplayer community is hardcore and a new player has to have that kind of mentality to get the experience they need to beat a pro. Saying the
Unfortunately the sins competitive MP community is incredibly toxic. I would say to new players don't bother with sins MP or just play personal games with friends if you can. Even 50+ games will get you kicked from a 5s game if noone knows you. The learning curve is also too great particularly now that the waiting times are so great (there is never more than x1 5s game on at any given time as the community is so tiny), and most veterans have +8 years experience on a newb.
I've yet to see a TEC player beat the Rankulus +SB combo rush against a capable Vas player. I spammed LFs hard other day and got the SB down to about 500 HP (using akkan), maybe could've succeeded with marza or dunov but still my fleet would have been left decimated and I wouldn't have be able to stop the next SB. The combo seems OP considering all one has to do is SB and spam support swarm, and TEC seems to have luckluster ability to spam frigs effectively (not as
Definitely not eco (apart from maybe the first civ level- but again very situational). Whachya wannado is spam light frigates and kill one of your guys (easily said than done), but by spamming fleet at least you wont get killed in the next 30 minutes.
@ caucau, I don't think Red-Ruby plays anymore (at least not under this nick). The replays also break with each patch. Unfortunately some of the replays are so old they've seen multiple patches. Your best bet is to auto record games yourself. You are bound to end up in a game full of pros. Then watch the replay and see what the Pro's are doing. Some players to watch (these are very strong players), are Diamonddragon, fallen, x-wing, doci, grim
Put me in "Fatkid" tier. ┗(^0^)┓
Nice replays, learning a lot /)__/) {☉.☉}☂ One other thing i noticed (besides the power of KOL and flak), is that veteran players seem run their LF's through advent LF's (then turn) in order to deny the opposition fire (while malice is active), when playing against malice (you can see clearly when malice activates by its animation so easily enough to do). I tried it out in my recent fights against advent players as TEC and seems to h
@ Red-Ruby, I remember watching your replays when I started playing about 1 year ago (some of the later ones- as the early ones didn't work due to version mismatch). Was disappointing when you said you wont be posting anymore. I look forward to seeing more of your replays (I hope you start posting). Lastly, stardock isn't banning anyone for sharing recorded replays. These guys are just trolls (just take a look at the forum- and you'll see the same guys trol
Thanks for the replays. I enjoyed watching them. Keep them coming. AND yeah unfortunately replays are unreliable at times as they show different than actuality maybe 10% of the time; but simply re watching tends to fix problem most times. Albeit, I've had to junk some replays because they show something that never happened during actual game play 100% of the time- i.e. cap ships being destroyed when in actuality they never were, and players loosing when in actualit
GoaFan77, My single player games are fine (no auto save). That is what I suspect, SINS probably uses the hosts auto save settings. Ah well I'll just keep manually deleting the junk files :(
As the title says- is there anyway I can stop auto saves in my multiplayer games. I got "IsAutoSaveOn FALSE" line in user.settings but despite such the game still regularly auto saves during my MP games. Is there another line someone might suggest putting in user.settings?
Focus Fire by default means that you focus all your fire on single target to try to take it down as soon as possible. If you ff you use either whole fleet or all ships of same type to take something down. Once maximum mitigation is reached it doesn't matter how many more ships are going to ff.
Does anyone know what the maximum mitigation is for some typical scenarios!? Would be handy to know not to focus my 50 frigs on enemys x1 frig if max mitigatio
well the rebellion.user.setting file is not read only- but the problem is the rebelion.user.settings file seems also to be a shortcut icon. Could this be the problem? Also the SOASE\Setting folder does have read only but each time I unclick the option and press amply/ok, then leave the folder and come back to it, the read only icon seems to be ticked again. Could this be the problem?
Hi. I got a problem that each time I close rebellion my options i.e. graphics options, resolution, game options etc. are all reseted to low quality. Is there a way to correct this so I don't have to change resolutions and put everything to high quality details, turn shadows on etc each time I run SOASE.
quoting post Why do i just get insta-kicked from every 5s game i join. do people hate noobs or something? Apparently I joined a game with noobs and they immediately kicked me without an explanation! What gives do people hate skilled or something? Ironic I know- right?
Well I got kicked (numerous occasions), from noob only games without explanation within 5se
hmm...interesting convos...i never really use flak as i heard lots of bad thinks about them so always too scared to use them early. I also didn't know about this 1:4 ratio. If not for pure Lf fleets, I also typically see mixed early game fleets of say 60 Lfs + 40 vettes. I guess if a 1-4/5 ratio to flak:vette holds true as some have stated. Then it seems reasonable to add x10 flak to counter his 40 vettes. Say a fleet of x60 Lfs (to match opponents LFs), x10 flak to counter
Hey Jingly Thanks for reply. The typical scenario i encounter in MP games is the eventual illums coming to play as counter to my early fleet composition which tends to be (in most cases) 100% LFs. It seems then the best option would be (as TEC), to match illums with LRMs (and not vettes); HCs seem problematic due to time required to field a descent # of them + their eventual counter with bombers. In any case scouting seems very important here, so as to not get caught off guard and hop
Hi Seleuceia Your post #47 was very informative. Albeit, is this information still at least remotely valid in the present state of the game? I stumbled here after searching for "corvette vs illuminator", as I noticed my vettes weren't doing as well as I hope they would against an advent fleet with illums (basically at this stage we had about 60 LF&#
When you have gun control legislation like the 'wild west' aka USA this is bound to happen. The fact is the average commoner is just too dumb to properly care for a firearm (aka the parents in this case). Also here we have a failure of parenting. I see this all the time. My belief is we are putting children into daycare/school far too early and not spending enough time/give enough attention to our children to properly nurture them; because of work etc. or whatever reason/excu
Thanks for replay. Some really skillful players to learn from for me. :)
