I'd like to play a wildcard (if you will). Does Minecraft look dated?
[quote who="Lucky Jack" reply="1" id="3468592"]The star name file in GC2 has many replications. It's the Falcon's Dejarik table!
It's been said elsewhere (by myself and others) that allowing the user to change the difficulty at any point during the game would go a long way towards solving that problem.
I'd like to see this too, to help offset the endgame grind (though GalCiv2 did make progress in mitigating it).
[quote who="satoru1" reply="11" id="3468080"][...] I also think it makes a bit more sense, given that the Steam hub is STILL being invaded by every troll with a soap box decrying Early Access and the price. I'm sure tehy'd love nothign more than to see the beta drop and say "see they're lying to you the game is totally incomplete, thieves, scam artists, valve needs to pull this game!" Timelines are good an all. But in the end you have to do what's best for the
I want this, or something like it. Perhaps I dont want to invade my opponents' planets; maybe I just want to lay waste. It would be nice if there were different types of super weapons. Windows 8's market share has ben declining steadily since December (source: statcounter). Windows 7 is refusing to drop. I don't know whose brilliant idea it was to put a gesture-based OS on a mouse-based platform, but Microsoft is going to need to up its game or else create an ever-larger oppourtunity for competitors.
For this to work would it require auto-pilot to avoid nebulae by default? Otherwise you're taking a gamble that you didn't sign up for.

Strongly agree! Arbitrarily setting the minimum to two turns is one turn too high. Please make it like GalCiv II and let us plug in the number we want! For me, having an autosave minimum that is too high ( cough Sins cough ) takes the fun out of the game because I have to obsessively save manually every minute for fear of losing progress.
Ha! If the suspense hasn't killed us by then. Looking forward to the unveiling!
I can tell you put a lot of thought into this, but as a Galactic Dictator I'm not sure why I should want a constitution. I don't want votes, power checks, or regulations regarding my terror star program, military build-up, or the subsequent instantaneous annihilation of a minor race.

What I don't understand is how the Thalans destroyed the Terror Star plans. Out of the hundreds of thousands of people that must have been involved in a project with such massive scope, no one had a backup copy on their thumb drive?
Is it okay to post these outside of designated areas?
Relevant enough to post here. :) Long ago, powerful AAA games fought a desperate civil war across the industry. The noble 4X games, and the evil FPSs fought to within inches of final victory for the FPSs. And then suddenly, they dropped in quality. Their departure opened the door to the younger companies to make their way into the industry, but their progress was slow, for their ability to distribute great distances was lim

I'd consider an SSD from Crucial . They made good products, and their SSDs happen to be the cheapest anywhere.
