When the announcement comes out, will we know what engine the Elemental sequel being built on?

Limit Theory sounds amazing based on the Limit Theory: About page. The infinite universe aspect is mind-boggling (move over Minecraft!). Sorry if my questions are noobish, but I've only really become aware of Limit Theory just now. Could Limit Theory be considered anything like the game that X Rebirth was supposed to be? What is the game model as far as single-player vs multi-player? This looks like it
Yes. It's too bad, the play with a friend on LAN thing Sins did was a great way to introduce the game to people.
My sentiment exactly, but I'm sure Stardock has good reason for the exclusion of LAN. Steam Sales are convincing as well, but there's nothing like a MP trial.
The ominous cover of Galactic Civilizations II: Dread Lords caught my eye when I was wandering the games isle in Target several years ago. (The case in question is the CD-sized square one with two Dread Lord ships approaching from the far side of the planet.) For $10 I bought it on a whim, and it's been my favorite game since. I upgraded to GC2:TotA through Steam late 2012. For me, Galactic Civilizations is the greatest 4X turn-based strategy game ever made. I wonder what the future holds
I audibly whoad/whoaed/whaohed/wowed - whatever. Very cool. Can you dock at your ally's/teammate's starbases?
"Simultaneous planning and sequential execution" Does this mean my bro and I will each need a copy to play together? (with Sins we just do offline-mode LAN)
Seeing as I already have GC2 and SoaSE:R with FW and SP, my 20% off code is also free for the asking, mods willing.
Wookiepedia has over a hundred thousand articles. If the entire EU is decanonized, the fallout will be interesting to say the least. Edit: Or just call EU its own canon.
I really like the the way this looks. I'm getting a Grand Admiral Thrawn/Militaristic vibe from her, which is a good thing to me and makes sense considering the state of the galaxy. [...]
Alternatively: Altarian Republic = Galactic Alliance Altarian Resistance = Lost Tribe of the Sith Akari Malara = Rokari Kem / Abeloth
I'm glad we're no longer pretending they're the same person. Of interest: Wikipedia: Akari And of slightly less interest: Wikipedia: Malara
I dislike how much she has been changed from Galactic Civilizations 2; they should have invented a new character or made a less radical change to her. I can understand the evolution of Lord Kona, with his balding head, white hair and tired eyes, or even the redesigned Thalan/Hithesius from the trailer ho has only two arms, but taking what is essentially a Human being and essentially giving them whole-body plastic surgery is... o
Any chance a small portion of the music could be released to the people who haven't pre-ordered yet?
Maybe even just the title theme?
"Greetings, Lord Kona. We're thinking 1,000 bc and Phasors III in exchange for: not elevating the Snathi." "Greetings, N-1/Elyes/Hithesius..."
[...] one screen locked to the main map and maybe 3 others with espionage, the planet control list and a final one bouncing between the ship list and any other that I might need. [...]
^ Yes, GCIII needs this. It would cut down on so many clicks. You'd be able to look at data while negotiating, instead of trying to remember everything important. You could see where a tech is on the tree before trading it.
I'd like if GCIII took over all available monitors and allowed each panel to be docked/undocked, so you could arrange windows however you liked.
Games would never end. Empires can expand way faster than they can be conquered.
You can keep up with X Rebirth dev updates here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/2870/announcements
That's why video games shouldn't have release dates - you can plan when to release it, but you cannot plan when it will be playable. This makes me wonder what they were doing all those 7 years. X Rebirth is SimCity 5 all over again - nice graphics, and that's about it. http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/x-rebirth
One problem I see with multiplayer is constructors camping near claimed resources. If the starbase is destroyed, who gets to claim the resource? What if the civ responsible for the destruction of the starbase doesn't have any nearby constructors?
[citation needed]

New race that looks like a green batarian? Iridian corp? where do you get this stuff? Or are you just trolling?
Okay... I thought it was just me.
Or are you just trolling?
Likely - OP also started the "Tactical Combat" thread.
Can someone post the link?
Thanks for the update, Rick. VE&DE is a great mod.
This is still on our schedule too!
Patching together information, is this the same game as reply 48 here ?
Epic double-necro: three-year resurrection, then four. I'm interested, too.
