Reply to Bug Reports in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

Frogboy, Another thing I noticed, that I am not sure if it is a bug or just the way the game is supposed to be designed. IN the Diplomacy Screen at times when other races contact you there is no "SEND" button. It only appears when you click on something to give them or demand from them. But it seems at times all they want is an answer. Is this way to made it to be or is this a problem? Side Note: I wish there was a way to ask for things that did not sug

Frogboy, I think this may be a bug of a sort. I have been trying to win the game through “Cultural” Victory and everything is going fairly well. I managed to get 82% of the way toward victory. I then saved the game and went back later and loaded it up again. To my dismay I was only about 27% of the way toward a Cultural Victory. After about 5 turns it went back to about 72% but that really seemed odd. I then saved this game and went back later and instead

Diplomacy Question About "SEND" Button in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

When playing the game and the Diplomacy Screen pops up and another race speaks with you, my "SEND" Button is missing until I click on something in My List of things or His List. Is this the way it is designed? I got a message about helping any races with Money and Weapons to fight so another race does not know about it, but the "SEND" Button to say anything back is missing until I click on something. This is most frustrating. Please help if you can. A

Frogboy, If I read you right in another post ( http://www.galciv.com/forum.asp?BID=GF&id=22390 )you say that SDC is for a more constant update scheme as opposed to the traditional waiting for 1.01 patch. NOTE: These are my words trying only to capture the point of what you are saying. Does that mean the Bonus Pack which you say will be build number 10 (the 1.01 number) will be in the form of a Traditional style File to DL and save that does not require SDC to run it? I

Frogboy, I never thought of it as "bug Fixes" or something that Should have been in the gold version. I have only one complaint (and it is not with the Bonus Pack itself) and I have tried to make myself clear several times in this thread. I guess I keep failing. My only complaint is that you have set Stardock up as the sole source for any DL of files pertaining to GalCiv (and as I stated above likely all Stardock games). That just seems restrictive to me that

It appears that there will never be a simple DL for any GalCiv update. Stardock seems to want to hold a very tight grip on its files. That means that this will be the only place you can ever DL anything pertaining to GalCiv, and likely any Stardock title (as far as I can understand it). I do not understand much about the gamming industry, but I wonder if Strategy First has to test and OK these files before they are released? I mean so many other games say that they have no sa

OK, I will jump in and risk being misunderstood. As a side note: I do not own MOO3 but I have pre-ordered GalCiv. Sencho, obviously could have said things in a better way but come on he did come back and apologize for his lack of tact and the way he slanted his original comment (Which I never saw). If he wanted as moderator he could simply delete the entire post and that would be it. No more pointing a finger at you said this because the post would be totally missing.

Nakor, Since you gave me the link to the updated SDC (or so I think it is updated) I can not even start it up now. It crashes at launch now. Go figure. Before I could get into it but it would eventually crash but now it crashes on launch. Nakor, What do you mean an "archive of the game?" The entire game and all files? The Bonus Pack files? I just do not understand yet.
