Quick question regarding this bullet: Pact bonuses do not stack (i.e., if Player A has a Research Pact with Players B and C [all Advent], Player A will only get the bonus from one Pact, not both). If that is the case, how can you make sure that you are having the largest bonus? i.e: I'm Player A and can have a Research pact with either Player B or Player C. However, Player C has a much larger research abilities than player B. How can I tell that? Is there a sp

AAAAAAND I'm returning to what I said in a previous thread: 'People will never be pleased. Once they'll change these requested stats, others will complain, and so on, and so forth. It just never ends. Eventually you come to the inevitable conclusion that you can never please everyone and be done with it.' The thing is not out yet and people are already asking for more. You can never really satisfy people when it comes to balance. Oh, well, the natur

EmpReb, people will never be pleased. Once they'll change these requested stats, others will complain, and so on, and so forth. It just never ends. Eventually you come to the inevitable conclusion that you can never please everyone and be done with it. Sins is an excellent real time 4X game. And while it has multiplayer, you can clearly see from its gameplay that it was not designed to be a starcraft clone, and you people need to understand that before you

This expansion is titled: 'Diplomacy'. It is not titled: 'WAAAAAH! Fix teh balanse!!!!!11'. Shush already. Anyway, I can't wait to have some decent diplomacy in Sins, it will really upgrade the playing experience for me.

Your eyes were not intended to be opened, it was a mere rant. And those pics? Brilliant, really shows your obviously higher intelligence.

I'm sure I'll soon feel the ire of the fans, but you'll realize that PS games are over-rated, arcadish, platformy rubbish, disguised as serius games. So is Wii's games, for that matter (I own both systems and a PSP). XBOX360's games are the only games worth getting, but then again, many of the good XBOX360 games are simultaneously released on the PC or used to on the PC in the first place and MS just chose to make them more oriented towards XBOX360 to increase sales and many of the de

Meh, MW4 is not such a great game, all in all. Following the new Mechwarrior game announcement I installed my copy of MW3, which is a much better game. It is almost as good and the controls are almost as sharp as MW2, but with better graphics.

Worst idea: getting all passive-aggressive about everything and for no apparent reason for the entire 3 last pages of this stupid forum game.

Oh, NO! Please don't do that! The company's future depends on you!! You'll ruin everything!!!!! Your loss, buddy. Impulse is easy, safe, harmless and quick. And unlike Steam, it doesn't force you to keep it running in order play the game. On a side note - stop trolling and go do something productive, kid.

Since the thread has been highjacked - sex is not sick at all, it's really great and is also one of our basic needs, but in my opinion, it's really not the pinnacle of pleasures to the point where I'm THAT preoccupied with it. Using an amazing technology such as a holosuite in order to materialize an orgy seems to me a tad...unimaginative, that's all. But hey, to each his own, really.

Easy - I'd be an extremely powerful mage in a Dungeon & Dragons adventure, slaying goblins, orcs, giants and dragons alongside my trusty adventurers. Besides, I always dreamt about inspiring awe in a medieval pub by forcing the flame from the fireplace or candles to dance at my will, and silence a drunken bully using a single harsh stare like Raistlin of the Dragonlance saga. OR, if I'll would grow tired of that (and I doubt that I will[e digicons];P[/e] ), I'll be Lord Vad

The first Puzzle Quest was great. The AI is cheating without a shame in order to gain unfair advantages in battles which are supposed to be dificult, which is very frustrating sometimes, but it is a long and, mostly, fun ride. I quite enjoyed it. Galactrix, on the other hand, is a horrible, terrible game. It's not fun in the slightest, the puzzles are either extremely easy that they become boring or, in the case of unlocking gates in order to access new areas in the map - are get

I agree, the AI does not pose a great threat, it does not coordenate attacks and at later stages it is almost boring to clean its fleets and planets up, it simply never surprises me. The most fun I have in late-games is gaining more experience for my fleets, but even that is getting old, eventually. My way of circumventing that problem is by playing multi-star maps, so once I clean one system, I encounter a much more serious threat on the new one, since the AI is already very est

The 182.08 drivers made two other games of mine unstable and caused them to CTD every few minutes. Eventually I uninstalled them and reverted back to my previous patches. The 182.08 should be pulled back, they are just not stable. Go to www.guru3d.com, perhaps they can offer you drivers that will pacify Age of Conan but that will be much more stable.

Nope, zooming in only taxes the video card a bit more. The stutter is caused not by the video card, but by the CPU and the RAM's speed and volume due to the huge amount of calculations made by the AI which all happen on the map at the same time. Zooming in or out makes no difference in that case, especially in large maps. <a id="ctl00__Content__LinkAuthor" class="Article_Author hand" title="Click author name for more options." onclick="Sd.Menus.showMenu('postAut

Completely agree, that will be most awesome. When clicking on a ship, a taskbar button will allows us to choose whether this ship will target mostly repair ships/long range or missile ships/skirmishers/strongest capital ship/support capital ship/buildings. That will be just great and allow us to truly leave fleet battles in the hands of the AI and deal with other tasks elsewhere.
You can play WITH humans vs other AI. Which while not as good as human vs human is way better then having stupid AI allies that won't do what you request...
I don't play online, but that is exactly what annoys me when playing Sins. The AI simply doesn't prioritize. If my forward planet that is directly guarding the access to the star system is swamped with two or three huge fleets, don't you think it is a good idea to get that thumb o

Oh, come on! Stop twisting and turning this all around and being a pain in the neck, the guy obviously was doing it in spite and clearly stated: 'This is fun, I am going to keep you boys here for as long as possible'. He wasn't trying to fight an uphill battle. He wasn't trying to make the guys sweat for the win, he was simply being a jerk that enjoyed his moment of taking advantage of the situation and hit back the guys who just beat him. Stop with this whole annoying holier-than-tho

Starbases are targeted towards turtlers, which naturally tend to focus mainly on sitting tight and gathering resources, so building one shouldn't be that much of a problem for a turtler. I only hope, though, that there is something a turtler can do in the meantime against an aggressive rusher.

So don't buy the thing and move on, damn it. It's not like this is Bethesda's Horse Armor crap where you pay 5 bucks for a simple piece of graphic change, this is an actual gameplay-altering enhancment. Most expansion packs don't even offer that, at full $30 price tag. And two others like it are coming our way. This behavior is not helping anyone but yourselves and is really ungrateful of you. The more companies deliver the more you demand, and that's just not right. B
